I can see the rules encouraging "slow play" or even holding someone hostage in a player's draw game in order to get a more accurate shot (assuming they're confident they'll win their opponent's draw game). This "strategy" appears legal under the current rules. I don't intend to abuse it but don't want to be abused by it either. Even if within the rules, if it's frowned upon by the TO, I'll certainly abstain. However, if the TO considers it a valid strategy, as I imagine it would be in a real gunfight... I might reconsider my initial opposition to this approach. What's your opinion, MrGlassB?
Thanks for the discussion, MudPuppy. This did not come up (and thus, I assume was not a problem) the last time I ran this tournament. My initial thought is that I see this as a valid strategy (as you said, it's like a real gunfight). One could draw slower in an effort to line up their shot better. The trade-off is that you give your opponent a chance to get their shot off first. To me, it's a calculated risk that each player should consider. =)
Just a note: I didn't label this set of games very well, so it may be confusing which game counts for whose action. Due to the way I sent the invites, I am using the higher game number to determine the draw speed/accuracy for the player on top of the bracket match up.
I'm a little confused, though, as it looks like the rules may have changed. I think in round 1, MrGlass gave us one game as the red player and one as the green player. The game in which the player was red was that player's draw game. In round 2, however, I'm the green player in both games. Hopefully, I get to draw despite not being the first player in either game... but how do I tell my draw game from my opponent's???

I don't think it's nice, you laughing. You see, my mule don't like people laughing. He gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks again,

I didn't realize that he was alternating to show your draw from your opponents. I have done Round 3 this way to make it easier for all involved

Before I accept the invite, I just want to double-check that ziggy and I both missed as there is only a 2.5% chance of that occurring, if I'm understanding the rules. I think we both won our draw games at different speeds: I drew first with a 75% chance to hit and he drew second with a 90% chance to hit, unless I'm misunderstanding the new rules:
Game 14954527 - Ziggy's draw game (he's red player) - drew in 1.00 second with 90% accuracy. Game 14954524 - MP's draw game (I'm red player) - drew in 0.25 seconds with 75% accuracy.
