It looks very nice, and of course I like all of your maps.
Still, I wish you would focus your energies on your WW I map. The Great War tournament series could very, very much use a new WW I map, and yours is very promising. Please finish it before becoming distracted by new projects.

this map is about 3/4 of year old. I did several new drafts when I thought that something new could be done.
about WWI map, I (we) stopped becasue gameplay problem. and there is again no interest, just iancanton cares. its realy fucking shit that two guys must made map. without any feedbacks or so...
do we really need two maps of the slovak republic?
Do we really need three maps of France?
People don't make maps because we have a burning need for them. People make maps because they have a nice idea and they want to share it.

The foundry is a lot smaller than it used to be. Ian seems to be the only active cartographer left. So what? As long as one person cares, the work can go on. Usually too many cooks spoil the broth, anyway.

No we do not need three maps of France. You can delete the old one and keep France 2.1. Would obviously be better.
Btw we only have 2 maps of the actual France. France 1789 is supposed to be a different map since it is at a different time. But as far as I am concerned it could be deleted as well.
unless slovak republic has something truly original, i suspect that those players who want to play this map will be largely the same as those who want to play the slovakia map, so they'll mainly be competing against each other for the attention of a relatively small audience.
I agree with Donelladan. I'm not overly fond of another Slovak republic map. I'd love it if it were any other unused country though. There's tons for the choosing anyway.

ian.
I disagree. Slovakia is a 26-tert map. It's a fantastic 1v1 map, okay in Poly Dubs and presumably okay in Team Dubs, but I definitely wouldn't want to play a 6- or 8- player game on it.
This is a 61-tert map. It would definitely be better suited for 6P or 8P games. Maybe the same type of people would like it; I don't know about that. But it would definitely shine in a different setting.

If I had the skills, I would make a map of Czech castles. It would steal a lot of the basic gameplay from Baltic Crusades, but the graphics would be completely different, with recognisable little icons of actual castles in Bohemia.
