Why does the rest of the world hate America

I'm sorry, just joshing. Considering I actually bumped this thread tonight, possibly knowing what effect it might have, I should probably stay away from worm-cans for a while, before I do any real damage...

Every other country in the world thinks that the world as a whole or their particular state is heading towards perfection (NYC) if they follow their 'model', as it were (be it welfare state, communism, pure capitalism, dictatorship...) or their foreign policy (intervention, isolationism, unilateral action, imperialism)

They all say their going to NYC, but the American car is the only one actually going!

First id like to point out that Im not a foreigner and I hate america too

The hatred one feels for a nation is not dedicated to the entire society, but its represenetives to the outside world.

The reason is a complex one, but I will keep it short due to my computer randomly kicks me out.

Capitalism acts like a parasite, its sole objective is wealth and gaining more of it. Money equals power, This government is run by whoever has the most money. It has led to Money being worshipped as god, and Greed becoming more important then morality(im not talking abortion or homosexuality either) Another problem with capitalism vs. communism, is that it is no longer contained by nations boundaries.

capitalism survives at the expense of the work force and the enviroment.
Surplus values goes to the management and owners, while workers get the minimum wage(as little as possible) for their work. Creating a new form of slave labor(instead of whips its bills) If wealth was distributed evenly it would result in socialism.

The enviroment is also effected because we no longer have a need for nature,nature makes no money. So instead we focus on what materials she can give us, like a rapist ensuring his power over his victim. This has led to mass poverty and famine around the world.

Foreign investors are always looking for the best investment, in order to create the most money. Often land will be leveled in order to build, instead of demolition to rebuild simply because its cheaper to do.
This has led to the lower class(work force) working in a factory instead of harvesting their own fields. This has also helped cause inflation,something capitalism is dedicated to(less supply,more demand= profit)

Simply put capitalism is dedicated to taking advantage of the greatest oppertunity for profit at no matter the cost (sweatshops,slavery,mines,illegalisation of marijuana,deforestation)
are all an effect of capitalism.

EXAMPLE
A wealthy man went to bangladesh because he heard they were poor,
He offered them money for their land, and they agreed because they needed food(clothes,etc..) he then employed them to build Factories,and condos. When they were finished he layed them off for there was no more work to do. Running out of money they returned to their farms, just to learn there were condos instead that they could not afford. Without their farms they could not grow food, yet the rich man made billions from the factories and condos. Leaving them with nothing but their shirts to eat.

These are situations of Capitalism all around the world, and America is the police force that defends it at no matter the cost. Anything that dissagrees with the USA gets killed. Defending capitalism is what the USA is all about. Your obscene wealth comes at the expense of others, after all its the name of the game.

GOd knows i agree with the most of it.

but in general i believe most ppl hate America because of:
- Overly-patriotic, when simply NOT superior to the rest of the world.
- Full of general arseholes who display such patriotism IN YOUR FACE (too far!).

^^ on this note, there was an american on TV recently, the journalist doing the program was talking about the US military, and asked him what he though about the US and UK in the middle east recently. The bugger actually had the gall to say

'well the brits are just sitting with their fingers up their arses whistling, just like they did during WW2'

Sorry? What the f*ck? Is that what people in america actually BELIEVE?

Christ, not like we've lost any people in the middle east, is it, nor stuck by the US all the way through when we ought to have pulled out - about a year ago? (recent case of some of our troops taking casualties - several fatalities - when fired upon by US aircraft despite already being identified as allied convoy.

And as for ww2, america did spend the first half of it sitting around not doing a hell of a lot physcially (not meant in an offensive way, simply true), not really commiting themselves fully until (pearl harbour? Or was it because a civilian ship full of yanks/brits was sunk in the atlantic? may be inaccurate here). Granted, the aid on DDay and all was significant, but again the US seems to think it was all them that day when in actuallity this is far from the truth.

I ought to stop ranting, on with the points!

- America holds host to all kinds of extremes/fundamentalists. And allows them to build without any kind of cheque. (yeah, freedoms blah blah blah, but there're anti-terrorism/humanity laws for a reason!)

- All kinds of conspiracies/pro-US organisations, which carry out illegal activites (anti-humanitarian/anti-geneva-convention, all covered up etc) for the US. This isnt just paranoia, this actually does happen.

- Censorship and lying to their own citizens. Think about it - if there have been several thousand US casualties in Iraq, all at the hands of militants/terrorists, yet around or less than 100 UK casualties, and 1 death of the Uk was caused by friendly fire from US (which the US government DID threaten to severe links with UK government if it was broadcast- guess they were bluffing), then how many US friendly-fire casualties have their been? none? my doubt is beyond extreme. And therefore there has been a coverup (cant have own troops-dying from friendly fire-publisised, enough antiwar efforts already! tsk!).

errr about all i can think/rant about for now. Might come back later. That answer your question though a bit??

Oh, thought of another point already.

As one of the conditions of the US's aid in WW2, britain had to dissolve her empire. Resulting in? The US emerging as pretty much the world's strongest country (at that time).

When the aid ought to have been unconditional, considering they're our stoich 'allies' anyway...

however
Americans confuse Patriotism and Nationalism,
Even reading quotes from the founding fathers of this nation support my desire to overthrow this government.

America believes it single handedly won WWII, its common fact around here.

I see censorship on the news everyday, not the UK angle though

Here everybody just keeps waving the flag saying "God Bless Amerika!"
They really dont care how many people die, else they would stop it.
love the fact that in this land of the free and democrasy any soldier refusing to go to war gets imprisoned!

Christians turned me off to Christianity and Americans turned me off to America. I hate any country with a majority of people who would follow someone like Bush, much less reelect him. I am ashamed to be a native of such a country. In the interest of prolepsis, i will reply now to any idiots spewing the obvious "love it or leave it", or any variations thereof - I'm going to stay right here and give cheesewankers like you a royal pain (and occasional poke) in the goochie. I don't hate America, I think the ideas behind its formation were brilliant and it's a great shame that other countries haven't followed suit.

BUT

The fact that some people, generally at the bottom of the social chain, are totally f*cked over by the ones at the top of the social chain really gets to me. You look at the way the people at the bottom are treated (and yes, I have been to the US and seen this for myself) is absolutely disgraceful. I'd certainly not want to live in a country that supports such social inequality.

US Foreign policy I generally don't agree with either, although it'd be unfair to blame the whole of America for that - at least in the first election, most Americans didn't vote for Mr Bush ... (although he's certainly not the only president that has been an arse)

I can not beleive any one could hate america it is so cool i went there last summer and because it was so good i'am going again.Plus they serve bigger meals but in the uk they serve little rubbish ones . My opinon i would rather spend the rest of my days there than in the UK.

As did I Stopper! You bloody fraud! There was some vaguely repulsive stuff about funding the IRA being OK if you were a private American citizen on page 10, but page 13 was about as big a let down as the Labour leadership election!
