Cause I am not a great fan of meta, and especially not meta that the player is self aware about. If you know that you confirm to be town when playing as town, then you can actively do it as mafia to pretend to be town. It makes little difference then.

its even scummier to defend yourself with claims that its your own town meta. Its a worse version of the constant town claiming.

Not sure whats difficult to understand here. I havent put you into my mafia list, as I dont believe you to be mafia, but your actions do not make you confirmed town.

So handing out vig shots? This could end the game right here and now for sure. I am actually fine with vig shots being handed out but I would hope for max of only 2-3. Wothout claims though it is a shot in the dark as it is only day 2.

And I'm sorry madmitch you said you knew what the ability was that you recieved I certainly wouldn;t consider commuter an "awesome" ability butI guess to each there own.

If storr is really handing out vig shots... I hope anyone likely to get shot is asked to claim first, or else we could have a lot of bad shots. It would almost be a mass claim time, although that doesn't seem very sporting to do on day 2 really.

When is the day action deadline? How long do we have to decide who visits storr? I PM'd the mod to double check that I got my vote back. I was just going to place it to test it, but storr could easily see that and place the vote the same way if he still controls it, so that wouldn't prove anything really.

HOWEVER...I believe to entrust a player with a vig ability they must have at least been part of the game.

You your self have stated you have no idea who excepts till after the fact. So you can easily give mafia a Vig action.

Second you have called for a Mass Claim, which only presents targets of opportunity AND gives mafia an extra kill ability. Mafia can kill AND use a Vig ability?

I also find it interesting we had a kill last night and you suspected it was a Vig and now you have a Vig power to hand out....how do you separate mafia from vig ability AND the one you hand out?

Well, for D1 I was thinking that you were Moiraine (giving coins with weaves[magic] on them) and town, but I no longer believe that. And right now things about your visit power aren't adding up, but that will be very easy to check once we have people visit you, so at the moment I don't know why you would lie about it. Now I'm wondering if you're Elayne, but she doesn't really start making funky items (inventor) until a much later book, and I have reasons to believe that our roles are more closely based on what the characters are capable of as of book 1. So, yeah, right now the character who fits best is Fain - you could go by undetected for a while if people don't visit you, but you had 3 people visit you D1. Do you have anything flavour-wise about what your traded items actually are? Either way, I don't think you're one of the Two Rivers characters, and if our day actions are based on character interactions but you trade no matter who comes to visit you, then I'm not really seeing that as any of the Light-aligned characters. MAYBE the Green Man.

Fain is scum. Mordeth is worse. Either one would result in a town loss. He asked me for role/alignment reads. The only role reads I get are flavour-driven, and those are scum-aligned. I feel like his plays have been town, though. But I also feel like Storr is a strong enough player to be able to help the town as scum and still win, so it's really difficult to tell based on that. I'm just having a hard time seeing how his role is town-aligned, even if it's giving out town-aligned powers (because hey, something may seem well-meaning, but the motives may not be the best). With this role, he's playing up how helpful it is to town, and at this point he doesn't need to do anything scummy with the votes, so "it's win/win for the town" apparently.

Does that make sense? With very obscure exceptions, I'm having a hard time seeing his role (as I guess it) as being non-scum, but his plays are town enough to make me question whether that is his role. So I'm having a hard time reading his alignment, but if I had to guess his role, it's non-town. Not really confident until after we get our day action results back, though.

On an unrelated note, mtam, you were using a night action on me - any thoughts now?
