they actually really hate this... if you don't have the time or energy to do the simplest of research, why should they? how hard would it be to look at his games, etc... sigh... i don't even want to say good luck, because this was such a half assed effort...-Jésus noirzsp wrote: I figured I'd let the powers that be look through this.

Well, my child, I suppose I'll entertain your attention-seeking response. I do allow kiddos like you my own attention once in a while. zsp really is a kind soul!owenshooter wrote:they actually really hate this... if you don't have the time or energy to do the simplest of research, why should they? how hard would it be to look at his games, etc... sigh... i don't even want to say good luck, because this was such a half assed effort...-Jésus noirzsp wrote: I figured I'd let the powers that be look through this.
I guess you must have me confused with someone else who gives a f*ck what "they" care about.owenshooter wrote:they actually really hate this...
Because "they" volunteered to do a job that "they" are required/feel passionate to complete. Personally, I know for a fact that they don't get automatic IP address hits on people who have played previously on this website, as before when I was banned, I created multis using the exact same IP address (and different IP addresses) and it took them a while to catch onto the multis I created...people had to report those multis for me to be caught.owenshooter wrote:if you don't have the time or energy to do the simplest of research, why should they?
Clearly the argument that I made was that he is very good for being a newbie to the site. I chose to copy ONE of the THREE (at the time that I posted this report) games that he has completed, to copy into my post. Did you expect me to merely copy the remaining 2 games that he completed in my original post to legitimize my post, or would most people (not you) be able to quickly click on his username that was posted in the original post be enough to see that he only completed 2 other games? Would most people (again, not you) clearly see that my argument was about the fact that he's a newbie who has won every game that he's played in might make him a possible former user/multi be the reason that I created this thread?owenshooter wrote:how hard would it be to look at his games, etc...

Lol you're probably right, but it still prompted me to create this thread before making a C&A thread. The results, although a small sample, led me here.-1-1-3- wrote:lol

seriously... zsp has been here long enough to know how to look up the basic info and give the hunters a little more to go on than a hunch... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noirMagnusGreeol wrote:- Zsp felt he was doing a duty when he thought something smelt fishy, Can't jump on anyone who in their heart feels they are doing the right thing. I get that, I do. I mean more to his attitude towards it.eddie2 wrote:Lol tfo your comment reminds me of the great decline. Honestly the person in question played less than 10 games won 3 of 3 games. Them odds alone could give a hunch. As for comparing multis with secret diplomacy, you were a hunter do you have the tools now to put a case together against a multi. You have a hunch you report it, you cannot supply the evidence because you do not have the tools to do it. Where as sd you can look for wall messages to back up your claim.
- I agree OS that anyone about to make a report should take a bit of time gathering as much evidence as possible to back their accusation before coming to C&A. All who don't should expect a bit of a whip, but then after should settle down to investigating truth and facts.owenshooter wrote:seriously... zsp has been here long enough to know how to look up the basic info and give the hunters a little more to go on than a hunch... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noirMagnusGreeol wrote:- Zsp felt he was doing a duty when he thought something smelt fishy, Can't jump on anyone who in their heart feels they are doing the right thing. And you're right, because I really don't give a f*ck enough about this site as much as you do (and I can't state how much it is clear that this site is your life's passion) to put in the effort to jump through hoops to thoroughly report some new guy to the site that is really good.
I could EASILY pick apart your posts all day, but I truly don't care enough about proving my self-worth on an online forum to people I will never meet/care about like you do.
Also, feel free to click that little exclamation mark on the top of my post and report me. I don't want to take away from your online bravado! Go whine now.
Also also, I'll take a page from your book of the proper way to flame here, YOU, sir Owen, aren't dumb. Your posts (all of them) are ridiculously dumb. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. But not you. You may not be an incredibly intelligent human being, but you definitely are. not. dumb.
Feel free to comment on any one single thing that I posted and put it in big red letters and troll the post like you generally like to do, too. You won't get a response. But like I said before, zsp is a kind soul. He'll let you have the last word!

Presumably when you report a crime, you just ring the police and say "I think there's a crime being committed. Please come and investigate. That's all I'm saying, you figure it out..." ... and leave it at that?mookiemcgee wrote:Ummm... This chain was really funny to me. I dont see what zsp did wrong. I appreciate there is a sense of community here where everyone pitches in... but uh, If I reported a cheater(on this site or any other that i pay a subscription to), and was then chastised for not "doing more research" or "putting a stronger case together" I would re-act very much the same way.... It's not my job... I'm the customer in this business transaction, not the business.
zsp didnt ask management to ban this player, he didnt really dictate any guidance and what was to be done. He simply wanted to bring it to the attention of those in positions of responsibility.
Clearly there is some backstory and history between him and other players/volunteers/employees of this site.... but as far as I see he was simply trying to be helpful and raise a red flag.
It's painful to see how people keep bloviating about "evidence," when I've clearly said on numerous occasions that I'm merely reporting him for someone to look into, just in case, because he's really damn good.eddie2 wrote:Omg give up with evidence. Things that are used is email address ip address card details if premium. Facebook and twitter if linked into it. These are things that are used to catch a multi, all of these we players don't have the ability to check. Op posted his concern the reason why and linked the game he played with him. Op had checked his profile and seen 3 of 3 wins , so reported it. Only thing i agree with is that he should of done this in a pm to the guys in orange.
I can see why Z should have kept this as a PM not putting it in a forum... but then again I wouldnt have know who to PM, i just would have entered in the forum space provided for reporting cheating...clangfield wrote:Presumably when you report a crime, you just ring the police and say "I think there's a crime being committed. All we're saying is that providing evidence helps the mods to investigate and provide a speedier and perhaps more accurate resolution. Linking to games where one suspects dubious activity saves them time and effort in searching through all the games, and perhaps leaves time for other investigations.
It's about being "part of the solution", if you like.
