He got busted cheating. Basically he was turn-sitting for a cook, using him on his teams to reduce his point exposure. The cook vanished, Blitz kept using the account. Clear case of account-sitting abuse.zsp wrote:Why'd he leave?
"Account-sitting abuse"? Are you f*cking kidding me? If using multis is a perma-bannable offense, how isn't that? If Average Joe CC'er did that, would he only get a 30 day ban?Dukasaur wrote:He got busted cheating. Basically he was turn-sitting for a cook, using him on his teams to reduce his point exposure. Using multies implies that you created them. If you start out legitimately turn-sitting and only gradually start to exploit the other account, that's called turn-sitting abuse and is a lesser offense.zsp wrote:"Account-sitting abuse"? he wasn't perma-banned. he chose to leave...-Jésus noirzsp wrote:"Account-sitting abuse"? Are you f*cking kidding me? If using multis is a perma-bannable offense, how isn't that? This also created a lot of turmoil in THOTA. I think a lot of people felt like they were betrayed by him. I think that had something to do with his leaving also....Because THOTA didn't want that kind of reputation..... but it was too late for that. This might also be one of the reasons THOTA is no more....Dukasaur wrote:He got busted cheating. Basically he was turn-sitting for a cook, using him on his teams to reduce his point exposure. He got a 30-day suspension for that, but when he came back he showed almost no interest in the game. It's like he was totally humiliated and his spirit was broken. He played for a while after that, but less and less, and posted almost nothing in the forums. I think within just a few months of coming back from his suspension he left completely.
Personally, I've never understood that. If you get nailed with an infraction of some kind and do some time in the penalty box, you're supposed to come back out on the ice playing even harder than before. But I guess he didn't see it that way. If he couldn't have a halo to wear, he didn't want to be around at all. Maybe he thought that people would never let him live it down, and that might be true, but with time all things fade, and he could have made a comeback if he had the balls to say, "yeah, I did it, but I've done my time so that's that."
It's really sad all around. When I joined CC, it was either shortly after or shortly before Blitz became the Conqueror, everything was about him. He really was the heart and soul of CC at the time. It's never been the same since then.
now, that is a stretch... let me go ahead and discuss the decline after Dancing Mustard left... or how about when Wicked was tossed... i love blitz, played tons of games with him, after he paid his time, i was disappointed he didn't stick around... i learned tons from him in team games and he was just a general pleasure to have around... but let's not go stating that people left en masse after his departure...-Jésus noirgannable wrote:Honestly, there were things I didn't like about him but overall the website isn't the same without him; and I noticed a decline in CC following the incident.

that would mean making a moderator responsible for keeping track of, confirming and updating all the categories, plus the multitude of new ones that surely exist and that people will want posted... there was only one person on CC that was that dedicated... no, it was not sailorboy... it was blitzaholic... no way in hell anyone undertakes this massive effort... good luck with that!!-Jésus noirjdw35 wrote:We need to bring this back!
