Hulmey true to magnifying these area maybe then will see better.

Hulmey, are you talking about the Great Khanate area? That's the only area I can see you maybe talking about, when you compare it to say Golden Horde. Perhaps part of west Yuan also. Is that what you are talking about?

I can certainly fade those areas a little, but I just want to give Hulmey a final chance to actually tell me the areas he thinks need dealing with too. I'm perfectly happy to make the changes but, as I've repeatedly said, maybe my eyesight isn't all that and I cannot tell any difference in boldness in the current map. Even if I cannot personally see the difference I don't mind blurring/fading them a little, I just need input.

The Bagdad area and Kashgar area im talking about.

you also have just little bits not worth mentioning in other places as well....Which im sure you could see if you magnify it, as you know how to do!!!

But im not going to push it with the little bits lol :D

i will check the borders in photoshop tommorow and make a picture of it for you (hulmey and guiscard) to see wich ones are real darker or not :P

I really can't tell at this point, even through magnification. Just circling the areas or simply listing them would be fine.

The only border problems I can see is the small gap in Fars and a stray pixel or two on the Khorazm/Kara Khitai border. I don't see these bolder borders either, but I look forward to seeing where they are.

i cannot read the name astochan very well due to background colour (on small version), i too cannot see the thick borders but would be fine with some blurring going on if need be

I cannot play this map yet. Evidently something is very wrong. Probably too much red tape.

I don't like the font used for Guiscard '07. I think it would seriously affect me while I play on this map. It definitely needs to be changed! Also it's not Y2K compliant...you never know when the millennium bug might strike... ;)

I can't wait forever guys... I'm gonna make the update tomorrow most likely, so unless you can tell me what you think needs fading then I'll just have to do baghdad and kashgar and that'll be it.

Khorazm is slightly to the right on the small map, I think. As is Fars.

put the xml file on http://www.sendspace.com andy needs it as a file.


and one more thing. could you maybe increase the black shadow of the text in the small version? the labels are hard to see especially in the bright yellow and light gray areas.

yenisei, astrakhan, keraits and khanbaliq are the main problems.

also dali is kinda hard to see but being such a short and simple name i can figure it out :)


other than this it's perfect :)


PS: it still needs a gimmick (j/k) :lol:

Ok I'll upload the file... But as for the shadows, it used to have shadows but they were decreased because it made the labels muddy and harder to read. If you look back you'll see what I mean. The current option is probably the clearest we can get due to the small size and the colours of the map.

Ok I'll upload the file... But as for the shadows, it used to have shadows but they were decreased because it made the labels muddy and harder to read. If you look back you'll see what I mean. The current option is probably the clearest we can get due to the small size and the colours of the map.
ok if people agreed to the font then i'm ok with it. anyway i never use small version so it does not bother me at all.

PS: on a tft it looks much better the font is readable. maybe it's the crt's fault.

It's looking good. The only thing I'd maybe consider doing is perhaps bolding the numbers in the legend to stand out a little more, as they feel a little thin to my eyes.

The small at least, but perhaps if you think it would be beneficial, both to keep consistency. I'm not sure what others think, I just feel the numbers are a bit thin.

sorry for taking so long, but i have now checked the borders:

the red are the darker borders (i think they are darker becouse the shade of the text is on it)

the green are the too thick borders
