vote for someone who isnt posting anything therefore no big loss to town... or vote for someone who is actually posting but with the chance of taking out a townie that is actually trying to contribute?

Not much to go on yet. I do want to point out that the deadline is in 2 days and 5 people haven't voted yet. If we don't reach agreement and you haven't voted that means you're dead (see rule 15).

So far most of the posts seem to be flavourposts. The only one who really caught my attention is still Soldier.

actually i hadnt realized the joke vote was still on you then again there has been soo little activaty here its hard to throw a vote anywhere. the noobies deffinatly gotta steap it up and post more often so we can get a better feel for this

oK my 2 cents.

This is a newbie game so a lot of the norms and traditions we use to determine scum and stimulate discussion do not aways work or apply. Several old timers would go so far as to not lynch newbs day one so as to keep their interest in mafia games. I have always been split on that play style. New players tend to milk the new guy card especially if they are mafia. If you are new and Town mafia will more often let you live as you do not understand how the game and it's mechanics work.

Day one is usually a crap shoot. In a small game as this not much discussion to go on PLUS we have people not knowing the ropes. There is no reason for a NO LYNCH. Sure a Town my be mistakenly killed but what happens as the game wears on is that roles help narrow Town from mafia and patterns start emerging. So while it may suck to lynch Town day one it also shows vote patterns as well. Mafia know who Town are and they want Town dead.More often then not when Town flips on death there will be mafia on the lynch.

What also helps is before lynching we have a player claim their role. The last thing Town wants to do is hang their cop or doc.

mitch-- a little suspicious that you ditched your normal play and jokes and went straight for the hunt, then went after tim for voting for you

iron butterfly-- welcome back... not sure if you encouraging claiming already is scummy or not.. it does make sense for them to claim if they have no choice and are at high risk of being lynched but the way its written seems like you are hoping you can get newbies to claim a role before anyone is lynched even if they aren't a suspect lol...

aladdin-- switched from no lynch to very keen to kill someone very quickly.. not pushing anyone in particular happy for anyone but him

rose-- votes mitch after bos and tim, then switches to tim after soldier and mitch... might be trying to scum hunt or could be trying to rush a lynch

soldier-- still seems strange that you flipped so quickly from no lynch to wanting to lynch any of the 3 that voted and then voted tim after you were so worried about lynching an innocent so for now

Okay, I have just re-read all the way through, and I think I am starting to get a feel for what the game is about. Apologies to more experienced players for my being a bit slow.

I now understand the reasons for wanting to lynch on D1: We Town need info and the only way we are going to get it is to lynch someone, see what they were, and analyze boting patterns.

This makes me less suspicious of those who made a consistent attempt to explain the case for lynching on D1, since only Town would be motivated to do this; Scum want Town to have as little info to go on as possible, so would tend to discourage D1 lynchings I think. So, Tim and IB look okay to me for now.

Mitch looks a bit scummy to me, but nothing definite to go on. The others I have no particular feel for at this stage, except for SOLDIER, who first pushed for "no lynch" then changed to very specific lynch recommendations very quickly. Also, he voted for Tim, who I believe is Town, and this makes him look even scummier in my eyes.

Just in case I don't make it back in time to vote, I therefore VOTE SOLDIER.
