I feel his reasoning is off. His reason seems to be that LSU is scummy because of why he voted for chuck.
LSU's reason (at least appears to be) that he believed chuck to be unwilling the benefit of using past game's experience to help read players. This is a valid tactic. Whether that makes chuck scummy, stubborn, or inexperienced, I would lean towards the latter two. So LSU's vote isn't necessarily the strongest either, but it is Day 1.

I read mitch's reasoning as though he thought LSU was voting chuck because of something in a past game. I thought he had misread and should check again to see if he got the same reasoning as I did above. I may have been the one to misread mitch. However, I also get some feel from mitch's vote of "This player is one of the first to place a serious vote -> they must really want to hurry up and lynch someone -> they are scum" reasoning. At this point, most votes aren't going to be built upon a rock-solid foundation, and I thought it more scummy of mitch to vote for one of the first serious voters shortly after that vote.

Nice post SAUSAGE , You are right first I didn't like the fast vote on Chuck, and I did not like the he is assuming that Chuck and myself are partners, and granted sometimes you get the same role ( mafia or town ) you can't assume you are that in this game, and I think LSU is doing that, maybe I am wrong or maybe not.

It'd be based on a hunch, nothing solid to go on yet, not worth lynching but I'd have a look at LSU because he seems a bit defensive but I don't know if that's his normal state of being or if the pressure of being scum is getting to him. I haven't played with any of you guys before so I'm probably not the best at making reads this first time, lol. As for who I trust... well I find that even more difficult, honestly can't produce a name yet, you seem like you're interested in driving the conversation forwards instead of sideways, but who can trust someone with an avatar like that?

@endgame, drawing on experience I can't tell you flat out if epi is town or non-town at this moment, but I would say that he seems more progressive (his thoughts on LSU) than he usually does when antitown and has more to lose. I'm leaning town for that reason.

The thing is I'm trying to figure out in my head, however, is if non-town in a game with two non-town factions might be better off acting progressively...

I'm leaning town on epi. I can't recall seeing him this pushy when scum before.

@LSU, is joke voting worse than skimming? Why did you switch from dakky to chuck?

I think Rag is more likely town than not, but it's still very early. He's probably the best scum player in TNC, so be mindful of that.

fwiw, I'm leaning town on Tim. He's committing so many mortal mafia sins (claiming without pressure, admitting to skimming, to name a couple) that it makes me think he's not worried about hiding.

I think we need to start narrowing down our list of lynch candidates, we have votes on 7 different people right now and that's more harmful than helpful. Maybe get the list down to three: LSU, chuck, and one other? Sausage is growing on me since his trap vote, but he's come up in conversation a bit. I don't have a super strong scum read on chuck, so I'm going to have a re-read of his contributions.

What about the playes that haven't engaged in anything yet? Can someone wake streaker up? He's a moderator and so he's surely around most of the time. He's also the one who suggested to me to join this game so I'm extra surprised he's not engaging in the game. Then again I have no idea how he normally behaves in mafia games, maybe he always lays low. I find it difficult to make reads on people I've never played mafia with before.
