Well, chat and forums are helpful. Definitely one of the main goals of these celebrations is to build the sense of community and get people talking in the forums. Still, those aren't the only ways:

I completely forgot to say #4: the Battle Royales. They drop tokens very reliably.

Also, about some of the above:

• Re: #2: Yes, the tournaments require tokens to get in, but there are non-tournament games on the same settings that also drop tokens. For instance, January 4th, all games which are nuclear & manual have a chance at dropping a token. Jan 7th will be trench, Jan 8th will be Paratroop or Poly (does not need to be both)
• Re #3. Not easy, but not outlandishly difficult, either. So far, after 3 days there have been about 300 Whac games, so about 100 a day. Rare, but not Hope Diamond rare.
• Re #9: I haven't tried it, but I hear any mid-level star (from about Electric Green to Cyan) works well.
• Re #10: Well, expensive is a relative term. They range from 50 creds for a Day 10 token to 500 for a Day 9 token. Even 500 creds is about the cost of a decent poutine, and as for 50 c, that's pocket change.

However, above all use the Battle Royales. They cost nothing to enter and I'm told they drop tons of tokens.

The January challenge info page doesn't list anything about getting tokens to enter the tournaments by playing games of the same settings...would have been very very useful to know prior. I tried to enter the Battle Royales and they required matching tokens...are you saying normal battle royales? Once again...didn't see that posted in any info.
