Overall, 10 or 12 people have posted in this thread, and only 2 were actually disparaging, which is a long, long way from "everybody."

Certainly there are some that are helpful and tolerant, but you are correct. This is perhaps one of the reasons for the decline. As Dukasaur pointed out there are only two truly negative comments, but no one calls them out on it.
