But the win percentage is totally irrelevant because it does not take into account the number of players in the game.

For exemple if you exclusively play 8 players games but have a win rate of 30%, it is actually a much better win rate that 45% if you play exclusively 1vs1 game.
The score is therefore a much better indicator of the gameplay of another players.

Of course, the score isn't completely relevant either. It is extremely hard to reach high score playing only 1vs1 game for example, and the score isn't an exact measure of the quality of a player either, but it's still much more relevant that the win rate.

Now concerning your initial post, the drop is random, it means of course that someone can start with a bonus.
If you gonna play 1vs1, you have to accept it. Anyway 1vs1 is mainly a luck-based setting with very few strategy involved.
If you play 1vs1 you accept that the outcome of the game will be decided by the luck rather than by the strategy. It's a fact.

If you do not want your game to be mainly governed by luck, you can play team games ( or polymorphic but need to be premium), they involve much less luck, or you can play multiplayers games.
For example if you are playing an 8 players game on Eurasia, it is extremely unlikely someone will start with a bonus.
