There is discussion in the general forums at times about how clan players are snobby, and don't want to play lower ranks. I would like to see a well researched article, explaining exactly why some clan players don't play lower ranks, why some do, and some kind of percentages of who will play whom, that sort of thing. Either we get nice PR for the clan world, or maybe we hold a mirror up and if we don't like what we see, perhaps some folks will make some changes.

I would like to challenge the puppy again (apparently I am getting used to dog slobber.... )

I've seen some posts from non clan, low ranked players, who seem to think that high ranked/clan players are snobby elitists. I've never responded to those posts, as I don't enjoy "getting into it" in the forums, but if I had responded, I would have said something like "I don't care what the rank/clan status of the person I am playing against is, as long as I have a good game experience." For me, a good game experience is a match between equals. If a non clan, low ranked player has a similar skill level, then it will be a good (fair) game from my point of view. But I think the criticism comes from a feeling of exclusion, as in the posters feel like they are outsiders, barred from entering the exclusive domain of those with high rank and/or clan membership. I'd like to answer those "charges" conclusively in some fashion. If the clan world is indeed elitist, maybe we need to make some changes. If we are not elitist, why do some players think we are?
