Mistakes in maps [Answered]

Post by cheekbones3 »

Is there any facility to correct mistakes in existing maps? I've seen at least two maps that have made it through the production process with mistakes in place names...

Yes - if you see mistakes there are 4 things you can do...

1) Post in the Map Foundry - in the specific Map topic.
2) PM Map Maker (if you can work out who)
3) PM "Andy Dufresne" or "Keyogi"
4)And failing that and still it's not fixed - start a thread in the Bugs & Suggestions Forum...

The British Isles map has "Granpian" instead of Grampian, and I'll have to wait until I see the other one again, I can't remember offhand.

I note that on the Asia map the country labeled Kazakstan is coded in the xml as Kazakhstan. I also note as I type this that the spellchecker is flagging the one w/o the h.

My spellchecker (British dictionary in Firefox) has the spelling correct of Kazakhstan.
