So, local kids ball team raffles off $6000 of tickets to win an AR 15 to fund their trip to some game. This pastor, on his own recognizance, takes $3000 of the church's funds (tithed, donated by members for churchy things) and buys half the tickets. His goal: win the rifle in order to destroy it so it won't be used in any crimes......real agenda? He's a martyr, craves attention and wants to make a statement in the war against guns.
Now I'm not religious (my tithing goes to whisky....lol), but I would be pissed if my hard earned money went to fund this exercise in futility. This dumbass wants to get guns off the street? He could have opened up the local paper and bought TEN guns...he has a hard on for AR 15s? He can go to the local gun store and buy FOUR brand new AR's and quadruple his bang for the buck. WHY on earth would he GAMBLE the churches money, overpaying if he does win? Complete and total waste of resources.....his ego is the only thing that wins (very christian of him.....).
The bonus? Instead of destroying the weapon, as scheduled, he gives it to a church goer for "safe keeping". As we have discussed many times, here in Oregon one needs to perform a background check when transferring ownership of a weapon...no exceptions.
So he lies about destruction, breaks the law and happily goes forward. He is NOT concerned about his lawlessness...in fact, I believe he likes the media attention as it adds to the martyr factor and the ego stroke.
What a fucking tool.
