Prince is so badass (suppose I should say was).

no it's not... clapton plays it the same way he played it in the studio when he recorded with the beatles (not to mention paul is back there singing/playing the same way as the original)... if you watch the cover at the induction, you see George Harrison's son having his mind blown and showing shear joy at his dad's song just being slayed. all of these guys on stage have been around the worlds greatest musicians and all of them said it was a magical moment... those guys are hard to impress... even better, the guy that was playing lead throughout the start of the song, was stepping on Prince during rehearsals, not letting him play a solo. he didn't think prince could play guitar. IDIOT. the one you posted nietzche, is the standard cover of the song with the same solos and has 2 of the last 3 players on the original, playing it... it isn't new or fresh or different.nietzsche wrote:this is betterTA1LGUNN3R wrote:So it can bog down my connection? Which you are welcome to post, preferably in another thread though. I've never really been a fan of disco.Dukasaur wrote:Jesus Christ, you think that's better?Symmetry wrote:I will Survive

Cake is rather less than awe-inspiring at the best of times, but this butchery really takes the cake. I've made better music farting in the bathtub.
Gotta admit, that was a quality comeback...Symmetry wrote:Which you are welcome to post, preferably in another thread though. I've never really been a fan of disco.Dukasaur wrote:

i don't know... i really think the original is far better than this... however, noted that it is from the same night that Prince blew "my guitar gently weeps", out of the water. Clapton was there and he even knew to bow down to Prince and to not even TRY to be on the stage with him...nietzsche wrote:

you are correct. they look very similar, but they are not the same night. you are correct, i was 100% wrong... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noirnietzsche wrote:not the same night.
that night was the night that Clapton shows Prince how restraint is fundamental in any form of good art.
