Tommy is often considered a rock opera, so the clue is valid.DoomYoshi wrote:I had a crossword clue: Tommy or Tosca. Apparently the answer was "opera" which makes me rage inside. I've seen Tommy live and it's about as opera as the State Farm commercials with Aaron Rodgers.

Just because it's on Wikipedia doesn't make it valid. An opera is a deliberate attempt at bringing classic Greek theatre to life in the modern world. It features a chorus and a few characters that tell a story with their lyrics. A "rock opera" is just a collection of rock songs thrown together. It's not a real thing. Tommy doesn't follow a single convention of opera. It doesn't feature a chorus as a main character or a few characters progressing the story. It's a bullshit concept by a bunch of fags that want to pretend they listen to legitimate music. It's like I can go to the store and buy "Parmesan" that is made from artificial soy milk-like solids. If I eat it, it doesn't mean I'm eating cheese. Jell-O is not a fruit and no matter how hard you try, you can't convince me otherwise.Symmetry wrote:Tommy is often considered a rock opera, so the clue is valid.DoomYoshi wrote:I had a crossword clue: Tommy or Tosca.
