Sneak attack?!

Post by oran0007 »

I think this would be fun if it could be implemented.

First, there would need to be Fog of War as an option. I could place my armies inside the fog, to try to decieve my opponent. At the beginning of my turn, I could choose to make a sneak attack. This would mean that I would fortify before I attack instead of after. There would be a downside(or should I believe). To every roll of the ensuing battle, I would have a negative modifier applied. This could be something like -1 to the highest die or to all.

Please make any suggestions to better this, or let me know if you hate it;)

sounds complicated...
sounds like you want to turn the Risk Game into a Wargame à la Squad Leader.
Next thing you know you want to introduce supply lines, lines of sight, troop morale, espionage, paradroppings, Amphibian assaults and bunkers/fortifications

The beauty of this Risk game is that it has simplified battles.
Let's keep it that way.

First of all, I don't watch porn, but I don't see what that would have to do with anything anyway.

Second, I did not mention this, but this would only be implemented to discourage "strategic" turn skipping. Read the thread about the 'Skip Turn' button, and you will see what I mean. With this rule, people could still hide their intentions, but they would be taking turns, and others would do it also. You see, I might use this if I could, but I would never skip a turn on purpose. It is wrong.
