To be fair, she got into a little bit of trouble implying that a conservative talk show host was sexually harassing her because he offered her money to debate him.HitRed wrote:Maybe she considers them the enemy of the people
I feel bad for the Jews. They get it from the right and they get it from the left. A candidate for Congress in Minnesota, Ilhan Omar, tweeted (back in 2012) "Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel." Note, she's probably going to win.armati wrote:Saw a couple of vids, she admits she is no "expert" but seems to have a healthy dislike for Israel.
So, I like her, not that one young woman would have a chance to change anything concerning Israel.

I agree, about the Jewish people anyway. With the state of Israel my feeling are a little more complicated...thegreekdog wrote:

She couldn't win anywhere else in the country, but her district is filled with Somali 1st gen immigrants. She already won I'm pretty sure...riskllama wrote:hmmm...I’m not so sure there, tgd - the west is still pretty gun shy when politicians start bringing Allah along w/them to their debates & platorms.
Well, if Fox news is anything to go by, she sounds like a monster:mookiemcgee wrote:She couldn't win anywhere else in the country, but her district is filled with Somali 1st gen immigrants. armati wrote:Definitely a socialist, she has a chance, people love to think they are getting free stuff.
The country is already 21 trillion in debt, about a million per household or $400,000 per person at 17 trillion so ya, good plan.
Restore glass steagall???
That is in direct opposition to the owners of the banks and there are far too many supporters of Israel to ever get that pipe dream done.
Higher education for all, that makes me laff, kind of an extension of no child left behind, that worked out great I think.
I wonder if politics always worked this way, just say a bunch of crap and as long as you have enuff advertising dollars you could win.
But as she doesnt like Israel and is even talking glass steagall shes great.
Utterly hopeless but great.

You could have saved yourself some time and the obviously crippling pain of trying to think if you had just typed "I'm not going to google "socialism." and slapped submit.armati wrote:"Socialism is not free education" You actually believe that.
"workers owning the fruits of their labor" thats capitalism, which you dont seem to understand.
I really could care less what Bernie Sanders says, he is a socialist promising people everything they want will be free.
They way you tell a politician is lying is their lips move.
I have no idea what AJ position on it is, you sure seem to be infatuated with him tho.
Free education or not, white man western glory days are over.
If you really wanted to, which I know you dont, you could find out what the Mises Institute is about.
The Mises Institute, short name for Ludwig von Mises Institute for Austrian Economics, is a tax-exempt educative organization located in Auburn, Alabama, United States. It is named after Austrian School economist Ludwig von Mises
Now obviously you really dont like Ron Paul, who is a capitalist that wants military on home turf etc
Again, not that you want to educate yourself but you could take the time and listen to him, he did run for president but the media didnt like him so you dont either Im sure.
Please dont tell me you do agree with his thinking, he is not a socialist in any way.
Then again, ignorance is bliss.

Are you sure? The name seems familiar.Neoteny wrote:Also, nobody on this forum has heard of Ron Paul. There's no precedent on here for anyone talking about Ron fucking Paul.
Haha, yeah, it's hilarious to think that private enterprise is as inefficient or worse than public activity, but we somehow believe that the ever-burgeoning fields of wage theft and labor abuse =efficiency. Let's take everyone's favorite entrepreneur, Elon Musk. NASA made it from zero to the moon in about a decade, and SpaceX has been going for fifteen years and can barely make orbit. Weird. Banks destroyed the economy and had to be bailed out by taxpayers. History is rife with examples like these. Tell me again about the efficiency of private enterprise.patches70 wrote:I especially chuckle at the "seize the means of production!" calls. yeah, that's a great idea, seize the industries that are run by people who know how to run those industries and give them to.....who? It's been tried, and it never ends well.
