So, I like her, not that one young woman would have a chance to change anything concerning Israel.

She is right about the media, its just the propaganda arm of the mic now.

To be fair, she got into a little bit of trouble implying that a conservative talk show host was sexually harassing her because he offered her money to debate him.

Also, she's either stupid or has not fully explored the policy implications of her platform; either way, she's not going to do interviews with anyone who is not sympathetic to her (which makes her no different than most politicians).

In any event, this is really bad for her. I feel like the press are going to go apeshit.

I feel bad for the Jews. They get it from the right and they get it from the left. It blows my mind that people who accept free primary and secondary education as a basic right, treat free post-secondary education as some kind of bizarre idea from space.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I think if it's good for people to learn high school science without needing to pull out their chequebook, it's good for them to learn university level science on the same terms.

The issue with it is, thats socialism.

The issue with socialism is as Thatcher said "eventually, you run out of other peoples money".

Money goes where it is best treated, same as gold. Well, gold is money.

Tax too much and wealthy people, the people with the money, will move to better tax rate jurisdictions thus reducing taxes collected from the companies and reducing the employment also reducing tax collection and increasing government hand outs causing the need for more taxes.


On the other hand, with capitalism the factories moved simply for lower wages anyway.
Wallstreet and share holders were jumping for joy of course.

Basically the average person is probly doomed either way.

Socialism is not free education. Socialism is workers owning the fruits of their labor. You can Google that. Free education is social democracy, which is what Sanders and AOC and the like are striving for. Which is fine. Better than your average Democrat. But it's still capitalism, and why DSA endorsing these cats is kinda dumb. Just because Alex Jones says it's socialism doesn't actually mean it is.

For someone who claims to know so much about economics, you sure seem to lack even a basic understanding. It's hard to be too hard on you though. Name a single country in the world that has free education. I guarantee every teacher in any supposed "free" education is getting paid, thus, education is not free. I guarantee that every school needs supplies which have to be paid for, thus not "free".

The US spends more than any other developed nation in the world per student. Well, if throwing money at something helped, the US would be doing great. And the socialists idea is to keep throwing even more money at it. Hey, I'm still waiting, any one, name a single country in the world where the education is free.

The reason socialists have to use the word "free" is because they have to trick people into supporting their platform. "Free" has connotations, after all who doesn't want free stuff? Socialists like Bernie Sanders and this Ocasio Cortex are charlatans. Bernie more so, as Ocasio is young with very little life experience. She might not know better, but Bernie does. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Socialists also appear to be really, really bad at math.

If you wanna have an honest discussion on socialism then stop using dishonest terms and arguments supporting it. How about laying out exactly how socialism is going to solve supply and demand issues, how to efficiently allocate resources with no price discovery, how to implement accountability for failures or how to enforce compliance without coercion. And that's just a start for all the problems with socialism. Especially in the US which is so vast, so varied that different regions have completely different economies in terms of size and scope. There is no one size fits all that can be applied to the United States. Socialism always comes down to a tiny group of elites who think they know what's best for each and every individual. And for these elites, who I assume are human beings just as fallible and flawed as the rest of us, always have to resort to authoritarianism, coercion and violence to enforce their vision of what society should be.

Haha, yeah, it's hilarious to think that private enterprise is as inefficient or worse than public activity, but we somehow believe that the ever-burgeoning fields of wage theft and labor abuse =efficiency. Let's take everyone's favorite entrepreneur, Elon Musk. NASA made it from zero to the moon in about a decade, and SpaceX has been going for fifteen years and can barely make orbit. Weird. Banks destroyed the economy and had to be bailed out by taxpayers. History is rife with examples like these. Tell me again about the efficiency of private enterprise.
