Dgz has made the entire game about 2 players based on a "hunch". He jumped the gun and made it harder for anyone to defend these players without risking being mislynched, and what's worse is that if he meant what he said and he was actually town then he ruined the trap by not letting scum post and associate themselves with these two before calling them out on it.
It sounds to me more like forcing an associative to push more lynches away from himself, and by extension, a partner, than someone actually following a hunch and trying to find a partner for his top scum suspect.
Blacky's reasoning is more naive than nefarious. It's a common trap for newbies in particular to give more weight to real-life explanations of why someone is town or scum than is logically reasonable. I believe blacky is much better than he gives himself credit for but he has already shown a slight weakness in logical thinking in his arguing with dgz. And I think dgz is using that to win the irrelevant part of their argumemt while the relevant part goes unignored or unprotested.
If we're lynching someone day 1 I'm lynching dgz NOT blacky.
If you are town you should vote no lynch D1 nothing else....
You getting the same amount of lynches but the chance to misslynch ls lower for all lynches following.
If anyone can prove me one good reason not to vote no lynch D1 right and lynch someone else instead. Then I'll Unvote.
And the thing now is that we got the no lynch pattern. If one of them where to flip scum we would have a list of 5 almost 100% confirmed towns. And if none flip scum we would have 3 that are leaning to town instead of scum. (and will probably not be used now)
And the hunch is contributed to "slow vote" (and hunch is the wrong wording. Should be feeling)
And I disagree with you on the arguments you have against me.
Why would I try to push away votes against me when I got none. (except for strikes joke vote) and be such big advocate for voting no lynch D1.
This post kinda feels like a distraction. A relatively long explanation of why he feels it's right to no lynch (Which isn't what Buj is arguing about) and sidelining any defense against what Buj is actually saying to a short sentence. In other words, he's distracting from the actual content of Buj's post by bringing up things that are barely relevant to what Buj is saying here.
DirtyDishSoap wrote:As misguided as dg is, i don't believe he's scum for that reasoning. Still, i would like an explanation as to his top three suspects. Might be a good idea for everyone to start listing who their scum suspects are. May or may not learn at least something.
He said his top 3. Arguing his top 2-3 if we had gone with the no lynch and they flipped town would be relevant (more relevant back then but whatever). You never really answered what changed for you about supporting No Lynches.
No particular order:
1. Skoffin-She's been pretty quiet. Hasn't really expressed much interest in the game itself and just jumped onto the no lynch idea without much input beyond saying that Pika was "technically" correct.
2. DDS-You're a little more active now but the fluff posts towards the beginning still felt kinda like stalling and I've yet to see anything mind blowing coming from you.
3. DGZ-I say no order but he is probably legitimately 3rd here. He seems a bit bloodthirsty at times but it's pretty much fallen in line with his stated convictions on who he believes to be scum. The above posts where he kinda shifted attention from the actual argument into a mini-rant about the merits of no lynching over lynching kinda shifted me from leaning slightly town/neutral read to slightly scum/neutral read on him.
Mets vs Pika: I lean towards this being town vs town at the moment. I lean towards discussion over non-discussion as lynches themselves are rarely truly random unless everyone agreed to pull a name out of a hat and say that's the lynch target for today (and honestly, that sounds super boring and I'd probably stop playing if that became a thing) overall and have a difficult time simply falling in line with Pika's pure math method for various reasons (Honestly, it even feels like kinda a dick move to effectively lynch two players that the mod was putting effort into replacing which i get is a sportsmanship thing and doesn't really make a valid strategic argument). I will say however to play devil's advocate to my own position, we've had a real losing streak as town on this forum for a while and experimenting with different ways to approach this game is a valid way to test for ways to combat this.

I don't need to give a in depth analysis for that. Those 3 are the only ones that did not want to kill one of the afk therefor I would say it's clear that one out of the 3 would be scum if one of the 2 afk was scum. It's no rocket science.
I'll repeat here so it's clearer from the rest of the post: Who are your top 3 now? Who would have been your top 3 if both had flipped town/flip town going forward?
