yeah but also he is admin, meaning alot of the how-to's must be set up. also in the first few days u have to stimulate activity. how many posts per day does wicked have?

lol thanks alex, ur a great addition to our site. and yea i have to post a lot, because i want people to see how active we are. if people come to our website and they didnt see any of my posts, there would only be about 300 posts on the site (we just hit 500 posts like 2 minutes ago). When people find out we have 500 posts in 5 days (just about 6, at midnight), they will say, wow, what an active fun community. and that is all i want for our website.

Finally! A place to go to talk about CC and risk like games...I have so many ideas to post, but no where to put them...sure, theres 3000 people in here reading and posting, but why not go to a forum with a couple of hundred...that will be way more fun

Why should the thread be locked? cyray has the right to suggest different sites for us to use, just as we have the right to shoot him down. As long as the topic is located in the right forum (there is one of these in off topics) it should stay open. The superfluous copies, such as this one could be moved/merged.

i joined it, its quite a good site. it would be better if there were more people but it is interesting nonetheless. give it a go before u slag it off

we were flaming cyray for trying to get people from this site (over 100,000 members) to join his site (only 10 members).

he says there are over 500 posts, which is true, but 450 of those are from him and the other moderator. which leaves just a few from each person remaining.

It sounds lame. bring your crew over here to join CC, not the other way around.

actually me and another admin have 400 posts and the rest have 100 combined. i have to post that much to get the website going, its hard. especially considering im flamed by everyone on this website except for skittles and alex. i mean, cant you just give it a chance? try it. Alex liked it, so did skittles, but the rest of you are being so close minded you wont even give my website a try. the reason that the other members only have 100 posts combined is because of people like some of you guys and girls who refuse to even check out the website by clicking on a simple link:

I'm not in the habit of flaming, and I won't start now, but I've got this to say-

Why would we want to join another risk site? We already have a huge community here (with whom we can actually PLAY risk), and forums regarding tactics and other such discussion of the game. There's no point!
It may sound mean, but it's the truth: this site has everything your site has and more.

Secondly, regarding your protestations that you're getting flamed, well yes, you are. But you can't expect not to be. Advertising a risk-related website on ANOTHER risk-related website is going to get you heat, especially since it's the only thing you've ever posted (why should we post on your site when you've never even tried to post on ours?). It makes it look like you're trying to leach off of our community and onto yours- which probably isn't your intention but that's how it comes off. So yeah, you're getting flamed, but you had it coming. Doesn't make flaming right, just makes it a not-so-good decision on your part.

edit- and bumping your own thread with triple posts is annoying as hell, please stop. Thanks!

Just think critically. This site is a bad place to advertise for two reasons:

1) We already HAVE risk forums. Better yet, we can actually play risk on the site. There is NO REASON for anyone to leave here.

2) This community is very free with their flaming, and since advertising for another site with the same purpose (ie advertising for risk boards on someone else's risk boards) is, as a rule, universally considered bad form online, you're bound to get flamed. And since we have a forum specifically for flaming, you can assume that most of the folks here have practice.

And again. You came here, played 2 games, posted two or three times in the general discussion forum, then came and made the rest of your posting career in this thread (which, incidentally, has little to do with risk as a game). That makes it look like you came here just to jack our community. May not be your intention, but it's what it looks like to people who don't need much of an excuse to flame someone
