Lots of New Recruits are starting games on default settings with Random map because it's the one listed as default on the Start Games page. This can lead to a brand new player on maps like Dark Continent or Feudal Epic. Hardly fair when they'll have no clue about the unique gameplay, will lose the game whilst having no clue as to how and likely won't ever play again. It also encourages people to farm as you can see here: https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewt ... 5&t=232803
Change it back to Classic to give new players a better experience.

It is currently so badly designed that when you click the drop down list, you start from the bottom and clasic map is at the top. If you do not know the name of the clasic map it is quite hard to find it and select it.
In addition I would change the default number of players to 3 or 4 and spoils to flat rate. It should make sence that ,if you do not change anythin,g to select settings that make sence for new recruits
bigWham wrote:ok, thanks. i'm not sure the full history of this, or to be honest what the exact best thing to do is, but i do think that in the past new recruits were not even shown the random map... or a whole bunch of other maps not designated for them.
this seems to have changed at some point... so for now, what i did was switch new recruits to a simplified list of maps that does not include random, nor does it pop event maps to the top... hence classic should be default for them now.

Indeed, as the map page still states which maps are and aren't available for NR's, this is odd.
At least it has been rectified.
The interface is bad enough , without them having to be thrown into the advanced maps too.
