So thank you for your patience in me getting these games out. I have been struggling with an easy way to line things up so everyone only gets 5 games a week, but couldn't land on an easy (and fast) way to figure that out. I have a new respect for the schedule makers in the professional sports leagues out there because it is truly a huge undertaking.
That said, I figured out all 1050 games for the season (hard enough on its own) and which team would be home and away. Everyone will have 35 homes games and 35 away games. With all of the games, I then simply randomized them and bunched them into 70 game blocks to make a "week" of the season (15 in all). That means some folks will be playing several games in a week, and others may have only one or two (or possibly none).
There will be a week (or maybe two) break roughly halfway through the season to let everyone catch their breath and finish some games before we push through to the playoffs. Once we get a few games under our belts, I'll start posting updates to standings and have a link to an updated standings spreadsheet for any of the stat nerds out there.
Thanks again for the patience, now let's PLAY BALL!!!

Yes barterer2002, I intend to update the standings roughly once a day during the week (probably not on weekends). Basically I'll run through the games that have finished since my last refresh and update the standings based on that. I have a tab on my spreadsheet for playoff seedings once we get closer to the end of the season and races start to be determined.
Week 3 games went out yesterday afternoon and I believe all have been accepted. Week 1 has 7 games still in progress and Week 2 has 45 still in progress. Right now I am looking at the week of August 24th as our "All-Star Break" with no games going out that week. This will extend the season through the second week of October with the playoffs picking up as soon as all games are final, or all positioning has been determined and cannot be affected by remaining games. I will probably wait on initiating a Playoff watch until after the All-Star break so we can see how the pennant races start shaping up.
Thanks again for everyone joining and dealing with the slow start to things. Looking forward to seeing how this shakes out and hopefully implementing some improvements for a full season next year for any crazies that want to take on a full 162 game schedule (assuming that's what MLB goes with in 2021).
