....Don't make them...When you do...Try and make up for them...You don't get a do over on the battlefield...berlin1945 wrote:Mistakes in troop deployment happen all the time. It would be nice if you could redo your deployment. When they made conquer club, why wasn't this included?
Not a perfect analogy. Of course you can't take back strategies you've committed to. But troops you oopsed in deploying? This is about a crap website, not the fates of warfare. The human nature factor should be in your strategies, not clumsiness that the website won't let you remedy. Some people such as yourself take it as realism. I just take it as frustration. I'm only suggesting something that would help conquer club retain members.ConfederateSS wrote:....Don't make them...When you do...Try and make up for them...You don't get a do over on the battlefield...berlin1945 wrote:Mistakes in troop deployment happen all the time. -----In real wars....Like Pearl Harbor...and Midway...The Japanese....made mistakes... Hesitated....At Pearl they didn't send in the next wave...to smash the oil...Which came back to kill them.....At Midway...when they learned of our carriers....They had all their attack planes set up with bombs...to smash Midway....Instead of just attacking our carriers with bombs...they waited to refit their planes with torpedoes....We caught them with their pants down.....I mean the Arizona was destroyed by a bomb...at Pearl...Later they used Kamakzies....So if I were making the move of the Japanese...I would of just let the bombs go...and save the 40mins...It took to switch weapons....
.......So no we do not need do overs...It ads mistakes, human nature....to the battle...![]()

Lol a "nightmare to play" because you screw up occasionally? Of all the things to bitch about, this is way down the list.berlin1945 wrote:It's a coding nightmare so you just let the game be a nightmare to play? That's really gonna keep your players from leaving!
That's where you're wrong, kiddo. I have only played games for 3 of those 7 years. My interest died once, and it died again this year.Nut Shot Scott wrote:Lol a "nightmare to play" because you screw up occasionally? I would challenge you to find one single person who left the site because they made a mistake dropping troops every once in awhile and couldn't hit an undo button. I mean, you've stayed for almost 10 years under threat of this hardship. Come on. Hyperbole much?

On this we agree. I find myself genuinely confused as to what the goal here is. There doesnt appear to be any emphasis on generating revenue, bringing in and retaining new customers or generally building off of what is here. It can't generate more than, like, I dunno, $40k per year? in revenue and falling? Oh well, at least it's not Mjr Commandberlin1945 wrote:

But you're right. It is is a minor nitpick. But it is consistent with everything else. NO movement to overhaul the site. NO interest in making the gameplay better. The site feels dead to me, so I have stopped playing.
Lmao there is? Well there you go. My suggestion has already been implemented. Super effective.MyNameIsJack wrote:there is a button you can turn on to ask if youre sure

I don't know. Maybe it's a tax shelter, or a money-laundering outfit. Cuz it sure isn't about us playersNut Shot Scott wrote:On this we agree. In your Settings, there is a setting for Confirm "Deploy Yes/No". The default is No, but you can change it to yes. Doesn't let you take back a deploy, but at least it makes you confirm each one so that you can't screw up with a single misclick.berlin1945 wrote:Mistakes in troop deployment happen all the time. I wish I had known about this at any point in the last like 6-7 years I've been playing. Misdropping is the most fking annoying thing ever.TeeGee wrote:you can't recall troops, but you can have each and every movement double checked in settings

I don't think so. I think these settings are independent of panels.mrswdk wrote:I wish I had known about this at any point in the last like 6-7 years I've been playing. Go ahead. Deflect with humor how CRAP this site is. Too bad the game will remain garbage.mookiemcgee wrote:Can we have an undo unsuccessful attacks button too? I'd also like an undo losses button, and a perfect dice next roll button please
Casuals aren't gonna go into some menu to put on a fix that should be there from the start. How will they even know it exists, much less where to look? Meanwhile they're making mistakes because of the site, getting frustrated, and leaving.Silly Knig-it wrote:If you are prone to misclicks as I am, you should turn on all the slow me down features as I have. It would kill you in speed freestyle but I don't play those for that reason. As was mentioned above, I have all the "Are you sure?" boxes turned on for me.
Of course there could be exceptions.DBandit70 wrote:no way, it would ruin freestyle games...

A warning is not enough. An undo button is not too much. And no, I don't have to do anything. No one has to play this game if they don't want to. They can walk away. A lot of people seem to be with me.mookiemcgee wrote:berlin1945 wrote:Go ahead. Deflect with humor how CRAP this site is. Does life have an undo button? Is there one in war?
There is already a 'warning/are you sure' screen you can turn on, at some point you are just going to have to take responsibility for your mistakes rather than deflecting the blame onto the game/platform.
