Just wondering if CC tolerates certain behaviour.

I recently played a speed game with this guy: whoknowsGI, Game 22646755

It makes me feel sick that we are exposed to this kind of behaviour. Is this the new kind of normal? Do we really tolerate this on our site?

This way CC isn't fun anymore and it probably also explains why more and more people leave the site.

The guy is a total idiot, plays 1v1 claasic, Thinks dice will always benefit high rankers even when proved otherwise and will say all kind of nonsense.
I think you should report him for abusive language, most likely u will get an answer fo foe and move on. But I agree with you, these kind of people only get people away from the site and it would be better to ban them or something similar.

I’d say generally, this is pretty mild. From a C&A perspective it’s definitely a foe and move on situation. Cultivate the experience you want. Generally I foe people like this because like you, it’s not something I want to be overly exposed too.

However if it’s egregious or rampant, suppose there could be a case for gross abuse or breach of the community guidelines etc.

But yeah at least under the current iteration of the rules and how we’re instructed to implement them (at least my understanding of them) this is FAMO.

I didn’t check for deadbeating tbh was just reading the chat since that seemed to be what was referenced. Rereading I do see he threatened to deadbeat.

But yeah, if he had 5+ examples certainly grounds for a case. Actually rereading the original complaint doesn’t even say it’s the commentary, guess I just assumed that based on the wording in my head at first pass.

The earliest of those 11 games was July 31, 2023. I only stopped there after I got done looking at the first page of his games. About 1/4-1/3 of his losses were deadbeats.

If you read the thread, I became more educated on the situation as the discussion moved forward. Definitely was more to it then the first glance I gave it.

Oh, you know, "foe and move on" has it's place. There have been a few reports here where very little was said and someone got upset and reported. If someone called me an idiot, or something, I'd be like "wow, rude." But it's not a C&A case.

This guy though, there's been a handful like him and they always get banned when reported. Just need 5 examples of them doing the same crap to prove it isn't a one off temper tantrum from someone having a bad day.

I don't agree with the FAMO stance for systematic chat abuse. It doesn't leave a good impression for potential new members. And people were 100% given a timeout for this type of chat abuse in the not too distant past.

I agree its silly he gets banned for db, I think his actitude is even worse and will affect more people than missing some speed game turns, its not that big of an issue. but imagine a new recruit having his first game with someone like this, cenrtainly would not lke to keep on playing. So better get priorities sorted.

Understood. The site is super lenient on game chat and comparatively, this was extremely mild. So not much there systematic or not. I only read the one game so maybe some of the others are worse idk.

If we banned people w bad attitudes there’d be a lot less people on the site. I can think of a dozen + I’d immediately ban if it was simply determined on bad attitudes and that’s just based on my opinion, let alone everyone else’s opinions of bad attitudes.

Whether I / we agree or not the site rules and guides we’ve been asked to enforce prioritize game abuse not mild chat abuse.

Instead of me joining his game it could be some kids who also like to play on this site. Should people be exposed to this kind behavior? Yes of course it is part of the game. I would advice people that use that kind of language her to walk during the night in some American neighbourhoods and try their language out there. It would solve a lot of problems!
