The first sentence ends with the throw away line… “According to Gaza’s Health Ministry”.

This “ministry” is controlled by Hamas. 100% of their statements are questionable (at best).

1) The label all Hamas fighters as “civilians” in their “count”.
2) Their counting ability is amazing. they can generate “accurate” death number moments after a strike.

(Note the initial bombing at one of the hospitals…
*First we were told (by the Health Ministry) it was an Israeli missile that “struck a hospital” and killed “over 500 civilians”.
Later the truth came out…
- It was an Islamic Jihad missile that misfired
- It hit the parking lot of the hospital, not the hospital
- It maybe killed 100 people… maybe.
3) This same Health Ministry refused to accept fuel from the Israeli Military; while lefties worldwide were demanding Israel allow fuel to reach the hospitals.
4) This same Health Ministry resisted attempts to relocate vulnerable patients to safer locations.

I love how the media just reports the lies of Hamas and reports them as “fact” but hides behind tools-out lines like “according to Gaza’s Health Ministry”. The editors at the Post KNOW exactly what they are doing. It’s sick and sad.

In the 2008 and 2014 Israel-Palestine conflicts the Gaza Health Ministry's estimates were almost identical to the UN's final estimates, give or take 1-2%. They're known to report pretty accurately, so if they say 1 in 200 Gazans killed in the invasion then we can be pretty confident that that's true and will be backed up by the UN's own estimates.

Of course this probably the point where you repeat your claim the UN is a gullible shill for Hamas propaganda, and only you and the Israeli press are the ones seeing things clearly.

A new report revealed Saturday that an Israeli military helicopter opened fire on Palestinian gunmen but wounded Israelis participating in a festival during an Oct. 7 attack by Hamas against Israel.

The Haaretz newspaper said an Israeli security assessment was based on an investigation by police with Hamas gunmen who were arrested Oct. 7.

Haaretz reported that the military helicopter arrived at the site of the festival and opened fire on the gunmen but also wounded several festival participants.

The Haaretz article in Hebrew cites an unnamed Israel Police official saying that its investigation of the incident found that an IDF helicopter at the site that was firing at terrorists “apparently harmed a few partygoers who were in the area.”

A police statement says that its investigation focused only and solely on police activity, and not any IDF activity, and therefore did not provide “any indication about the harm of civilians due to aerial activity there.”

The statement calls on news outlets to “take responsibility for their publications and only base stories on official sources.”

Elements of the Haaretz article were taken widely out of context on social media and used to blame Israel for hundreds of civilian deaths on October 7, none of which has any basis in fact and in extensive reporting about the massacre.
