Town's first duty is to lynch confirmed scum,
this is followed next by the lynching of nearly confirmed obvscum.

However if the identity of Scum remains obscure, the next duty is to remove atrocious play from the game, i.e. 'bad townies'.
This has been my only reason for voting so far; first LC, now swang.
That swang feels the need to both quasi-defend LC's "theories", (as much as he can stomach to do so), and also cast vague and unsupported aspersions against me, makes me hopeful that there may be something here more sinister than just lazy, minimal-play.

I tried to change the lynch pack to vote for you, and thought that swang might not happen. I had 4 people agree to vote literally anyone to get a lynch done. Only when Indid this did dev and vot come in and vote swang.

As for why I think vot is different, I felt it for a while and couldn't really put a reason on it but him voting for inactives rather than no lynch definitely seems different to what he did it any previous game I remember. Playing differently doesn't always mean scum and I prefer voting vot to not voting vot but its still noteworthy. I do think voting for bad townies is not good play in general, I would rather go with the person I think is most likely scum than someone you think is obv town but playing badly.

Vot, are you deliberately doing a different strategy this game from previous ones?

I'm not voting/lynching for bad townies, I'm voting for bad players/bad play because if you don't eliminate them that becomes the perfect place for scum to hide.
And, not only do they get to hide, but they can also wear away at Town's cohesion and morale as they do it.

You need to re-read day 1 from the last game. Swang and LC are playing very similar to that game when they were scum...

It seems you and fusi have some kind of 'beef'... but no one's going to change a vote over one more vague mafia tiff.

FOS at Ragian for deliberately misreading and selectively twisting my posts.
I've always said that confirmed scum is first priority... but I also know that often doesn't exist, especially in games without sufficient Town PRs.
And in this game, Scum has more real PR power than Town... so yeah, it does feel sometimes more an amateur psych experiment than a balanced game.

So what happens when town doesn't have confirmed scum?
