CC is circling the drain, is this the end?

Post by xroads »

Been a 20 year customer, and this is about as bad as I have ever seen this product.

Is this finally the end?

Look at the non stop bug reports?

Why the update a few weeks ago that actually made things worse?

How many players are gonna stay when the site is glitchy as hell?

The count is down to 3236, I wouldnt be surprised if we crash through the 3000 floor real soon, and then what from there.

It's a sad time.

I'm done. Had enough. There used to be a time when I looked forward to playing, even when we used to connect via peer to peer in the late 90's and that was glitchy. I am not accepting any more invites and winding it down. Not going to walk away and DB, though I prolly should. I have cancelled my subscription and my player name will pass on to the ether in a couple months. That should give me time settle things on the way out.

As you were,

Something has definitely happened to the random dice generator. Winning 10v30 and losing 30v10 is becoming far to commonplace. I know it sounds like conspiracy but after 50,000+ games played there is definitely a noticeable difference.

the time outs are dreadful.... when it times out, and "waiting" doesn't do anything, I can get around it by going back to the Central Command. But every part of a turn takes half a minute.

Drop troops: timeout [x number of areas where you're dropping]
Go to Central command, go back into the game
Select target to attack, click attack: timeout
Go to Central command, go back into the game
Select how many troops to advance, click advance: timeout
Go to Central command, go back into the game
Click end assault: timeout
Go to Central command, go back into the game
Select area to reinforce and number of troops, click reinforce: timeout
Go to Central command, go back into the game
Select End Turn, timeout
Go to Central command, go back into the game
Leave text in chat for teammmates, click reply. timeout....
Cashing spoils, another timeout.
This whole sequence took about 3-4 minutes.

I had this on a large conquest map where I just cashed a huge set, wanted to sweep the board and figured it would take about 2 hours to complete the sweep. So I just attacked one area, ended the turn and this cost me the game.

It happened multiple times this week.

It has happened multiple times to me as well, but seems to be fewer and fewer.

I think they might be getting a handle on it.
