If there's one thing we learn from history, it's that we don't learn from history.

Lauren Boebert is a JOKE. I trust NOTHING she says, even if she claims to be a MAGA and supporter of Trump.

I trust a dead Chuck Norris over Lauren Boebert. RIP Chuck.

Trump needs to declare victory and end this war ASAP.

I had doubts and concerns about this armed conflict (war) before this current round had begun. See below.

I read an idea tonight is to pay Iran to end their threats of choking off the Straits of Hormuz. The projected cost: $1 Trillion. Cheaper than other bad options, imo.

Launching missiles and dropping bombs is the easy part. Using the military to achieve political goals does not always work, as others have suggested here in this thread.

btw: Iran bombs hit near sites in Jerusalem SACRED to Christian, Jews, and Muslims. That is ANOTHER DESPERATE move by Iran.
Blast takes place near Jerusalem’s holy sites after Iran missile warning

JERUSALEM - A blast left a crater in a hillside just inside Jerusalem’s Old City on March 20, spraying debris across a road, after a warning of incoming missiles fired from Iran.

AFP journalists at the scene saw the damage just a few hundred metres from Jerusalem’s revered holy sites of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

I do not advocate using the US military to flex Trump's muscles.

As I said earlier, the concern is the aftermath and how Iran will retaliate. They will likely fire missiles and drones at Israel and possibly US Military facilities near Iran. I read that Iran will likely strike when the US forces are not on heightened alert, as they are NOW.

I think that this attack had the support, or tacit acquiescence, of major Arab nations, especially Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States, Iran may mine the Straits of Hormuz.

Does this attack make the world safer? Will peace be the lasting legacy? Will this prompt the Iranian people to overthrow their current government, which is basically a theocracy?

The answer to all such questions is NO (or very unlikely, for ALL 3 questions).
AI Overview
Yes, Iran is widely considered a theocracy. Its political system, established after the 1979 revolution, is a hybrid of theocratic and republican elements, but the supreme religious leader (Supreme Leader) holds ultimate authority, making it a theocracy, according to multiple sources. This system, known as Velayat-e-Faqih, places power in the hands of high-ranking Shia clerics.
Is the nuclear program for Iran set back signficantly? YES, BUT how much? We will have to wait to see the true impact from the technology perspective.

Is Iran set back as a power and player on the world stage? I say YES, for now. But the Iranian mullahs will try to get their revenge against the US and Israel.

I am not sure the world in now safer. I am worried about peace, but I do not expect a major war to begin because of this attack, as I heard some left wing speakers use as hyperbole.

Okay, enough for now. Time now to fill up my gas tank on my car. And continue to PRAY for Peace.

And NOW, Iran does the really DUMB move to attack ALL its Arab (and Sunni) neighbors and attack the Jugular for the entire Region, attacking the Oil and natural gas Facilities. Does Iran depend on OIL and put the entire REGION in danger? YES, because the Iranian Regime is THAT DESPERATE to hold on to its tenous grasp of Power in Iran. This is its "Trump Card" and Iran is playing with FIRE, or, to be more accurate, is RISKING a HUGE conflagration. They are so bad OFF that that are willing to bring down the entire Middle East region and try to wreck the World Economy, too.

If Iran hit the al-Aqsa Mosque that might change Jerusalem forever.
