Two deaths. I would say one mafia (Sauron + Nazgul) and one serial killer (Gollum).

If we are talking about killing roles, there will probably be a vig. Maybe Legolas it would be, judging from my small LOTR knowledge.

Depends. last time I played this theme there were 2 mafias (isengard vs. Mordor) and gollum was survivor (wicked had the role and so she loudly complained about the game sucking).

I sure hope that the 2nd death came via a sk or 2nd mafia. Vigilantes shouldn't rush to kill unless they are about 99% sure the person they are targeting is scum as the odds of hitting a power role make it not worth the risk.

As demonstrated by the sloughter that I commited in HP mafia (without killing any scum  ).

Chad, can we please have the vote count in the moment of the Day 1 Lynch?

Isengard mafia, that is possible too, of course.

I do hope we don't have a vig randomly taking people out.

Hmm I don't know about an Isengard mafia, but it would be better than a SK or a dumb vig...

When reading back I found that, had completely forgotten about it. So, we have to vote for lynch and vote for a ringbearer today?

Oy, you're right about that, I had forgotten that too.

I would like to vote for myself, but I assume nobody else knows if I can be trusted. Let me go through the thread again to find somebody else.

Once we vote for a ringbearer, I suppose the doc will have to protect him, since his identity will be known. Or is it a secret vote?

There is a catch though. The ringbearer can either keep it or secretly hide it and give it to someone else so the mafia don't find them. That way the doc won't stay tied up but if it falls into the hands of evil they will get 2 kills per night.

If there is a tie then we will do another vote between the winners.

Assuming a vote for myself is not going to whip the masses into a frenzie of enthusiasm, I'll Vote LSU Tiger Josh for ringbearer, since he usually knows what he'd doing.

Of course, I don't have much of a clue about which side he's on, but that goes for everybody else too.

Hmm yeah having such a vote on day 2 is a tough one... I see where you're coming with LSU, but I prefer to hold off voting for now.

Well I would vote myself for ringbearer, but that would make me look scummy, let alone selfish. ga7, why don't you be the bearer? You've contributed mightly to the game so far.

Question, how do we distinguish between votes for ring bearers, and votes for lynch ?

That being said....vote Koesen (lynch vote)

For Getting behind the TWO Lynch early on, and for no apparent reason.

In truth, i think there are a lot of people who jumped on TWO for no reason, but this one seems kinda scummy.

vote MM for the Ringbearer. This is why: MM is (no offense ment) hardly among the players most likely to be Night Killed. This keeps open for him the option for keeping the Ring and he is can also pass it on to one of the remaining new players. Also, I expect the mafia players will be really quiet on the subject of the Ring (to hid their GREED  ) so the fact that MM was among the first to broach the subject gives reason to belive that he is indeed a townie.

Finally, I would like to add that the Ring should not be handed (either by direct vote or by the elected Ringbearer) to either me or Exile, since we are IMO the most 'popular' Night Kill choices among the remaining players.

When MM proposed me I thought : no way, this will make me too much a target for night kill, better give it to an experienced player
But your reasoning makes more sense Mandy.

Thinking it through, however, the first ringbearer doesn't matter as long as he's not mafia; he would need of course protection for one night, but then as long as he passes the ring right away to a townie, the mafia won't have a clue as to who has it, and would have to be very lucky to nightkill the right person.

That said, I'll vote MM for Ringbearer, I'd say you'll need to carefully pick the next ringbearer
If something fishy happens we can always lynch MM tomorrow

For the lynch, not sure, I don't see the case on Koesen but will read back.
