ravish? what's that? all i know is that "ravishing" is an adjective, and it's one of those adjectives that's like a more poetic word for "gorgeous.." they say women love it when you compliment them with words like that instead of plain vanilla words like beautiful or stunning

no as an adjective it's got a different meaning than when it's a verb, hence the "to" as in verb indicative
