Do you really blame Jesus for bringing destruction and problems to the Earth when he actually paved the way to eternal salvation? I blame people, regular, sinful people and Satan for this when they stray from the basic teachings of the Bible.Skittles! wrote:Bold - Then why doesn't Judaism believe that Jesus is the 'Son of God'? If he did do everything the Old Testament said he would do (Which was also written by Israelites, who are Jews), then why don't they believe it?Caleb the Cruel wrote:The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John do describe many of the same events. However they do not contradict one another, they state the same things, one adding more detail than the next. The Old and New Testament do have a couple verses that differ, but this is simply because the Old was before the Messiah and the New was during and a little after the time of Jesus. The Old Testament said how the world would change after the coming of the Messiah and Jesus fulfilled all of the prophecies and therefore changed the way we live on Earth.
Have you fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament? I think not.Skittles! wrote:Underline - WHOA! He said he's the 'Son of God'!! WOWWWW. Guess what, I'm a Son of God too! Yup, my mother was raped by an Angel that had the 'seed' of God and then Plop, 9 months later I was born and with 3 'Wise' men gave me gifts. WOW, my biological mother and my caregiving father just got me born in a Shack of animals. Wooo.
You might not want to tell your parents that story.![]()
Jesus was different because He, as stated before, fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah from the Old Testament. Also, I believe Jesus did everything the Bible says he did because the Bible states that it is the Word of God and is flawless.Skittles! wrote:More seriousness; The bible says that we're all "Children of God", so what makes him so different? Just saying he's the Son of God doesn't prove anything. And miracles? Oh please. Water into Wine? Rocks into Bread? Being tempted by Lucifer (Or Satan, as you stubly call him), 3 times in 40 days?
Caleb, please tell me that it's not possible for any Human cannot survive 40 days in the desert with no water or food. Jesus was a human. How do you know that he went to the Desert anyway? He could of just gone somewhere else and when he came back, just said he spent 40 days and 40 nights in the desert being tempted by the devil.
Every denomination claims this, however the LCMS(Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod) stays the closest to Scripture of any other denomination on the continent.Skittles! wrote:Italics - I'm sure you Lutherans aren't the only ones to do that. I'm sure there's many other Demonations of Christianity to do that.
Underline - Oh, you mean, murder, pilage, strangle other religions into the dust, and kill other cultures to make it the Christian way of life? Yup, he sure did change the way the Earth was, but frankly, was it a better way?
Italics - Continent? What about the whole world?
Sorry I missed this part. There are Hebrews(I like using Hebrew as the race so it doesn't get as confusing) who believe that Jesus was the Messiah, these people are called Messianic Jews. But also the followers of Jesus are described as the "New Israel".Skittles! wrote:Bold - Then why doesn't Judaism believe that Jesus is the 'Son of God'? I blame the Diciples for mainly starting the Christian church which have destroyed many cultures and other religions. And people are also the problem, and many aren't with the Christian church and so I can't put the whole blame on the church.Caleb the Cruel wrote:Do you really blame Jesus for bringing destruction and problems to the Earth when he actually paved the way to eternal salvation? I stated "continent" because I do not know much about the Eastern Orthodox Churches which have possibly been able to stay well-connected to the Scriptures.

Could you give some examples of when the Christian Church "destroyed" other cultures and religions?Skittles! wrote:I blame the Diciples for mainly starting the Christian church which have destroyed many cultures and other religions. And Caleb, have you really gone all over the Continent of North America and looked at all the churches to see that your claim is true?
Not overly 'destroyed' them, but people that have been in the Christian church and used it as an excuse.Caleb the Cruel wrote:Could you give some examples of when the Christian Church "destroyed" other cultures and religions?Skittles! wrote:I blame the Diciples for mainly starting the Christian church which have destroyed many cultures and other religions. I admit I have not been to every church on the continent, however I have deeply studied most of the Bible and have at least read through the entire thing once and the LCMS sticks to it. Also I have done research about most of the other major American denominations and have found flaws in all other denomination's teachings, some minor but they're still incorrect. There is probably some small, non-denominational congregations on the continent that teach the exact same thing as the LCMS but are for some reason against large organizations or do not know that a similar group exists as we are smaller than the ELCA.

You certainly tried pretty hard with the Crusades and all.Caleb the Cruel wrote:Could you give some examples of when the Christian Church "destroyed" other cultures and religions?Skittles! wrote:I blame the Diciples for mainly starting the Christian church which have destroyed many cultures and other religions.
