That game was handed to you on a silver platter, the scum got really unlucky, the town had loads of power roles, Talapus' investigation (townie) didn't match his claim (naive cop), you had two people protecting you...

he came up normal townie. Which there was non, but I couldn't say the game was non vanilla as that would counter talapus' investigation and wicked's role.

I think the setup went very well. It could have been a totally different game if players other than Incandenza and Aimless were two of the first to go. PCM dropped the ball, but he did find scum after the first night and that gave us a chance. It could have been an easy win for mafia if PCM had investigated Talapus or wicked right away.

'Twas a good setup, exile. The odds usually aren't great for the town in a 5-on-2 game, but the power roles mixed together nicely... tho the naive cop could've fucked us.

I suppose it doesn't surprise me that Aim took me out directly, but it sorta backfired on him, since everyone assumed that I died protecting pancake, thus there was never much question that pancake was the cop.

I agree that MVP for this particular game goes to ML. Well played indeed, sir.

I'm just bummed we didn't win...

Anyway. The game was fun (especially as a respite from rhymin'), and the roster was pretty damn good for an open invite 7-player game.

ML told you what to do, I told you what to do! And, did you notice I was perfectly willing to unvote Tal, when I knew he was scum, to vote no lynch? You should have stopped to think about that one. Scum wouldn't unvote, and go no lynch, and Tal didn't. You really blew this one badly. It's laughable.

ML played a great game. Congrats man!

Exile, I thought the setup was real good. Very enjoyable game. Pancake should have thought a bit more, but... still a good game.

I think we've done a pretty good job of distancing ourselves so far - the only person who named both of us was Serbia, and I think that was more along the lines of an "I'm suspicious of one of these two" type thing.

Now... tell me, is that a freaking accurate assessment of the game, or what? I don't think I've ever guessed who's who that well before.

That's a damn fine assessment, but that's not even what really strikes me.

You and I have such a similar mentality and playing style when we're scum it's fucking scary. I recall your reasoned post about the merits of lynching vs. no lynch on page one and thinking to myself, "damn, that looks like the sort of thing I'd post if I were mafia"...

And I also tend to write novel-length PMs to co-conspirators... dcowboys can attest to that, as could vgm were he still around. (actually, as can you, since we were masons in that bizarre game that everywhere ran)

Unfortunately, though, for me, as soon as pancake claimed I knew I was dead. My only goal after that point was to try to draw fire away from Talapus, since I was certain I'd be investigated night one (as I was).

I was hoping you, ML, or Serbia might have gotten the cop, because there was a chance you'd target wicked instead of me (and wouldn't that have been an easy day 2 win?

), but I knew pcm would nail me first.

Sigh. I really stand out too much to play scum.

That's the thing. My first game as mafia, we won, mostly because I was able to stay so far under the radar I needed a miner's hat. But that was only my second game, and had yet to gain much of a reputation. Next time I was scum, whoooole different story (thanks mostly to exile, that bastard

Yep. My first scum game (Film Noir) was the same way; we should have won, and probably would have had I not accidentally hit the paranoid gun owner on the final night.

After that, though, whole 'nother story. The Tombstone game, I was third in line for investigation, behind AK and (I think) auto, and ahead of wicked.
