WTF? If you get "townie" that means he's the GF!pancakemix wrote:Shit, he's GF. I was coming in to unvote because I investigated him and got townie.
Did we seriously just lose the game?

he came up normal townie. Which there was non, but I couldn't say the game was non vanilla as that would counter talapus' investigation and wicked's role.Incandenza wrote:Depends on what he actually came up as, which you could compare to his roleclaim.pancakemix wrote:Well, it's not my fault. Aimless probably knows best, but he said he guessed that incans was the doc.wicked wrote:but how did they know he was a bodyguard? or was it just a lucky guess?The1exile wrote:Actually, it was Aimless' idea to hit you directly.Incandenza wrote:![]()

ML told you what to do, I told you what to do! And, did you notice I was perfectly willing to unvote Tal, when I knew he was scum, to vote no lynch? You should have stopped to think about that one. Scum wouldn't unvote, and go no lynch, and Tal didn't. You really blew this one badly. It's laughable.pancakemix wrote:Well, it's not my fault. He was a GF. Nothing I could do.

Um, never mind that last part... I'm a retard.Incandenza wrote:'Twas a good setup, exile. The odds usually aren't great for the town in a 5-on-2 game, but the power roles mixed together nicely... tho the naive cop could've fucked us.
By way of explanation, I'll just post the PM I sent Talapus night 1.The1exile wrote:Aimless probably knows best, but he said he guessed that incans was the doc.wicked wrote:but how did they know he was a bodyguard? or was it just a lucky guess?The1exile wrote:Actually, it was Aimless' idea to hit you directly.Incandenza wrote:![]()

Now... tell me, is that a freaking accurate assessment of the game, or what? I don't think I've ever guessed who's who that well before.Aimless, in a PM wrote:Hmmm.
Unfortunately, since PCM claimed cop, he's probably going to draw protection tonight, so killing him would be bad. We need to find the doc; my hunch says it's ML or Incandenza, so one of those two would be my choice for a NK. Third choice would be wicked.
I'm actually slightly inclined to let wicked live, because "she's always scum" and "when she's not scum, she's usually one of the first to die." On the other hand, if we make either of those arguments, we have to be extremely careful about it, because they're major scum tells.
My only last thought is that, since you're the Godfather, you're immune to investigation - we may want to try to leverage that. Unfortunately, the odds are good that PCM will investigate me tonight, and know I'm scum. We should keep arguing as much as possible; if it looks like there's going to be a lynch on me, try to lead it. That way, you'll look like town on Day 3, and PCM won't be able to investigate you to say otherwise.
I think we've done a pretty good job of distancing ourselves so far - the only person who named both of us was Serbia, and I think that was more along the lines of an "I'm suspicious of one of these two" type thing.
Ha ha!Incandenza wrote:You and I have such a similar mentality and playing style when we're scum it's fucking scary. I recall your reasoned post about the merits of lynching vs. no lynch on page one and thinking to myself, "damn, that looks like the sort of thing I'd post if I were mafia"...
That's the thing. My first game as mafia, we won, mostly because I was able to stay so far under the radar I needed a miner's hat. But that was only my second game, and had yet to gain much of a reputation. Next time I was scum, whoooole different story (thanks mostly to exile, that bastardAimless wrote:Sigh. Yep. My first scum game (Film Noir) was the same way; we should have won, and probably would have had I not accidentally hit the paranoid gun owner on the final night.Incandenza wrote:That's the thing.
