I seem to have difficulties choosing between Frank Miller's Sin City and Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.
Of course,if we talk about older movies,I'd have to say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest with Jack Nicholson is my favourite from the 70's.

Go with Kill Bill. 2 movies for the price of 1.
No one is going with the AFA? Citizen Kane, Anyone?

you do not serve toast?

why not it's breakfast, at breakfast, you have toast
we do not
well then in that case I would like a BLT without the bacon lettuce and tomatoes
that's toast
yes dear it is
May be misquoted, but that is the best part of one flew over the cuckoos nest

The Evil Dead movies were so bad they were good. My hand is possessed, so I'll hack it off with a chainsaw, then run around for 10 minutes with a shotgun trying to blow it to bits, succeed get blood all over, then run down the stairs using the hand I just blew off on the railing, oh good times with Sam Raimi

Trouble is you have to know who to watch it with, some people criticize war movies for being inaccurate.

There's been many movies said already that make my favourite list.
One that hasn't been mentioned yet (at least I don't think so) is Memento.

Lots of my favourite movies have been posted already(and some that I despise - Sin City - one of the worst movies ever flung together).
I don't think anyone has posted 'It's a Wonderful Life' yet, great movie. Possibly my favourite, it's tough though.
Also don't think these have been mentioned: Apocalypse now, Platoon, Angel Heart, Leon.
I don't watch movies, really, but I've seen most of the ones that often make "best movies of all time" lists.
And whoever mentioned the magnificent badness of evil dead, Army of Darkness is killer movie.
The Princess Bride, but that's mostly for girls.
Riggable listed about half of my favourite movies.
