I've just noticed that on the Gamefinder page, the tournament narrative has changed to a scroll down menu, instead of a box to type part of the tournament name.
Would it be possible to also retain the text box option? I find it very handy for running my tournaments, for example in my Baseball doubles, I can type in MLB R6, and get a list of all the round 6 matches.
This new option is going to add a lot of time onto the running of tournaments
If you don't regularly inform the tournament mods of which tournaments you are currently running then they take it away.
EDIT: The day I was going to post new games for my tournaments I had my privileges gone again and on top of that I couldn't find my topics. So I'm pretty annoyed with the whole process.
The new feature is good but, it should be possible to still search on keywords so all games of that tournament can be found on 1 page, so that you don't have to look at every game individually as tournament director.

I got beaten by 2 privates and all I got was this lousy feedback!
If you just click on the box and start typing your tournament title it will still go right to it, you don't have to scroll. It just doesn't look like you can type in there.
I can only type the first character and then I have to keep hitting that character and go through all the ones that start with it to get to the one I want to see, it's complete bs.

I just figured it out a minute or so ago.
Yes but I like to type part of the tournament name, just the round and not the teams, to get al list of every game in a particular round.

Yes, same for me. I do have them bookmarked via the Greasemonkey script, but this also doesn't work any more now
Coleman wrote:No, the new feature is crap. When was it suggested and why? It was easier to type names.
You do realize they have finished tourney games in there as well, right ?
Yes, but you can't search for only the active games in a tournament only any more now, so you will now have to go to each game seperately to see if it's finished or not.
This new feature is not good for tournament organisers. Maybe they can get both features together if they want to keep this one also.

I figured it has something to do with that. Any chance of a rough estimate of when we'll be back up and running? I've already notified my players of the situation.
Aaaahh, I see...so the privileges are actually linked specifically to the tournaments now. Right on. I'll wait for my others to get up and running then since only one is working at the moment.
Although....does this mean we cannot create our own tags for searches to make it easier to keep track of now? I just want to be sure.
Can I still create things like "Cybertronian League - Optimus" and "Cybertronian League - Ironhide" or am I only able to use "Cybertronian League" with all the games under one?
All my previous complaints are out the window now, I really like that the tournament names are locked in and it seems my bracket tournament is back, although I have no clue where my topic is.
It's fixed now, I'm liking the new system a lot, people can't post 20 different names for the same tourney anymore or host tournaments they aren't supposed to while they have privileges.
Coleman wrote:It's fixed, it rocks, yay lack. I thought I'd hate it, I'm pleasantly surprised.
I don't see a change yet. I always give all my tournament games different names, so this way they all get into the list seperately. So far I preferred the way it previously was.
