You know... the more I think about it, the more impossible pcm's role seems.

A "Day" Forensic Investigator? FI is frankly a broken role to begin with, giving someone day FI powers is just stretching things too much. I agree; pcm is trying to pull a fast one.

Let's see what I have to benefit from this...

If I were scum and gave you the GF, then what? There's no point in me giving you a wrong lynch tomorrow, you'll lynch me the next day. I thought the idea was to end it all today with the mass claim.

Actually... on second thought, I change my mind.

As long as we leave five or six people alive at the end of the day, we shouldn't be in too much danger of scum winning overnight; thus leaving pcm alive should be okay.

Indecision is a very bad thing.

I will however, point out that LSU made me a regular FI at first, but changed it, saying he thought I should look at the body immediately because the trail would go cold, or so he said.

Ending it all today with a mass claim is exactly what I intend to do.

You gave us Pain Killer, whom we promptly lynched. Then, we promptly lynch you. so, let's examine the possibilities :

You and Pain Killer are both town - unlikely, and if it were true it's a terrible move on your part.

You are town, PK is scum - one scum down the drain, at the cost of one townie. Since we're planning on a mass lynch, the loss of the townie doesn't matter.

Thus, by lynching both you and PK, we guarantee a scum kill. Furthermore, trading a scum for a town is always good for the town, since there are more town that there are scum.

Care to explain exile? I think it's a good move to lynch PCM. That way we cover all of our bases. We lynched PK automatically without waiting for a defense (which in retrospect wasn't too good of a thing). We blindly believe PCM's claim. 4 investigative roles seems too much so I think one of them is lying. Since PCM's claim led to a lynch I think we should lynch him now. This is just the best possibility to play it safe.

I would prefer if both of us lived till the night to investigate someone, such as mandy I guess(Personally I just don't trust him), and see what kind of results we get. Might not be much, but could come in handy. Well.. of course that's a preffered method because I don't exactly want to be a sacrificial lamb >>

If you are naive or insane, then there is probably a second cop. Ergo, in that case, I am more than willing to believe that you are both town. Ergo, I'm discounting that possibility.

However, I cannot discount the possibility that you are fake claiming, and just happened to pick the real cop as the object of your fake claim. Since I cannot discount this possibility, I am force to conclude that I cannot afford to leave you alive at the end of the day. The point here is that when day two ends, the only people who should still be among the living are confirmed townies. Right now, we have two of them (Koesen, and mandy).

You misunderstand my point here. Of course it is possible that they are both townies. However, that's not what I'm trying to prove. Frankly, I don't give a rat's ass if it's possible that they are both townies.

What I give a rat's ass about is whether or not it is impossible that either of them are scum! (Actually, impossible is too strong a word. More like "highly unlikely.")

Skoffin's claim is that "hey, I could be insane or naive, thus Koesen could be scum." While it's possible that Skoffin might be insane/naive, in that case, it is highly likely that there is more than one cop. If there is more than one cop, then either Koesen is that cop, or there is some other cop around who hasn't counter-claimed. (If you are that "third" cop, claim, damnit!)

Therefore, it is highly likely that, no matter how we slice this, Koesen is town. Ergo, what I am discounting is not the possibility that both are town, but rather I am discounting the contention that, based on Skoffin's unknown sanity, Koesen might be scum.

However, the same cannot be said for Skoffin. There is no way to discount the possibility that Skoffin might be scum fake-claiming cop.

Capiche? Or do I need to go over my reasoning one more time?

Given that Skoffin and I are both night cops, I think it's not unreasonable to assume there's something like a day cop too. PCM's claim fits the bill.

I've never been a cop before, so I might be wrong, but I see no other need for the title 'night cop'.

I suggest keeping PCM alive until we know Pain Killer's identity. If he's town, PCM is the first to go. Though frankly, if he is what he claims he is, I doubt he'll make it through the night. A day cop capable of tracking down one scum guy per day with absolute certainty is a hell of a lot more dangerous than a night cop who has to get lucky. Let the mafia spend a night kill on him.[/i]

Wow this has slowed down. I thought the point of the mass roleclaim was to lynch as many as possible. Anyone else have anything ideas? Come forward.

To koesen, the ones advocating the mass claim(i.e. aimless) wanted to endgame this before we reached another night. Personally I think we should play this by ear and lynch only who is neccesary. But I think we should lynch at least one more. PCM is the best choice far as I'm concerned. Sure we will find out if he was lying or not by the end of today but if he was then that's at least 2 townies killed .If we lynch PCM we have the guarantee that we lynch one scum. It's been said before: trading a power role for a scum in this situation is not a bad deal.

Just in general to everyone, if we end now then it was a waste of a mass claim. The deadline is thursday. Today is wednesday(ish) so get posting
