QFT, a lynch is better than a no lynch almost every time. DEadlines should come second to this. IN my opinion deadlines, shouldn't even exist. (Which is why mine are deadline-free. )
In my experience, your opinions should be void, every time.

I disagree, Fircoal and I don't usually see eye-to-eye on most things in game, but overall he's a good player who keeps the game going.

He's alittle weird, but hey, aren't we all? :)

In vino veritas. unvote
vote Aimless
. He rarely makes mistakes and his vote against Serbia looked like forced activity. Like he is being very active so that he doesn't apear to be just cruising. Also, he usually elaborates his 'serious' votes with an essay at least a page long. Finally, if Aimless is scum, don't count on him making 2 mistakes in one game. It's now or never folks.

I don't really see it as Aimless slipped up, it sounds to me like he was just trying to turn this game from the spaminess where it was heading back to serious (what he does in every game).

Unvote
Vote: mandalorian

Awful quick to pounce today, aren't we? :) What are you hiding? You're mafia and know he's not on your side?

If people can't get their act together, they should accept the consequences. I don't like games that drag on forever. A deadline is a deadline.
I find this the scummiest thing for now. You're gonna be absent for the deadline, so it's the same as wanting no lynch.
Unvote Vote Koesen (and hoping we can get an extension so that he defends himself :P)

I early voted for you because you were inactive yes. Better than a completely random vote with no basis whatsoever.

Deflect attention away from serbia? I voted for you before aimless's accusations.

But unvote since you are here.
Actually, you did state at that time that Freezie was a more useful lynch, the fact that you voted earlier doesn't mean you didn't deflect attention afterwards. So a little FOS Kwanton.

So, after his vote for Aimless leads another player to vote Aimless, ga7 quickly washes his hands and moves as far away in the other direction as his legs will take him. :? :? Methinks that we have witnesed a fake attack here, gentleman. My vote stays (because Mafia-Aimless being lynched on Day 1 would be soooo cool  ), but I'll add FOS ga7

Of course I'm washing my hand off that, as I reread and didn't convince myself. Not my fault if you thought I was making sense when I wasn't :P
Besides, I don't see how I went to the other direction either, Koesen's statement is way scummier. I understand why you would want to lynch Aim, but IMO it's pretty random at this point.

Regarding the deadline :

If we are going to have a deadline, I'm against the idea of extensions. A deadline should be a deadline, and enforcing it as such allows us to plan accordingly.

However, I have always disliked deadlines, and I especially think that 72 hours is too short for a day; I'd vastly prefer at least a 96 hours day.

Agreed, 96h days would be nicer.

Mandy, you just want to lynch me everywhere  Besides I don't see how lynching me will prove if Aim is scum or not, I think it'd be just as random as before

I'm agreeing with Aimless about deadlines. If you're going to put one up, lets stick to it. I'd rather play without one, but I'm not the mod either.

VOTE: ga7

ga7 wrote:Unvote Vote Aimless because slight mistakes are a scum tell for him. Also, because I'm drunker than before.
ga7 wrote:Actually, since it's a quality line-up we can't expect anyone to make mistakes on day1. So whatever slight scum-tell one makes could be there fall. Anyway, I'll agree on voting Freezie for mere pragmatic reason if he doesn't post tomorrow.
In between this and the next two quotes, Mandy makes a case for voting for Aimless.
ga7 wrote:I think my argument was still BS  I'll have to reread now that I'm sober
After that, ga7 unvotes Aimless, and makes his case for voting for Koesen. I'm not really willing to vote just because he's against extensions, but whatever. Mandy calls him on his switch, and here goes the next quote...

Now he quickly backtracks. For me, I was going to put a FOS on ga7 back when he posted the first two quotes, but I was already under fire at that time, and didn't think it was a good time to be pointing fingers. I've been suspicious of him for a bit now. Closest thing I can come up with.

Serbia, you're putting the things out of context. I don't see how I backtracked, or that Mandy's case for Aimless has any other basis than randomness. Aimless' case on you was awfully weak, but I can't blame him for getting things started. Anyhow, I found it weird that Mandy wants to get rid of a potentially townie asset just because, and can't endorse a lynch like that; so if you think searching for something that made more sense is backtracking, fine, I have no defense for that

VOTE COUNT

Mandy (3) Minister Masket, Fircoal, Kalishnikov
LSU Tiger Josh (1) the1exile
Serbia (1) Aimless
ga7 (3) Pancakemix, mandalorian, Serbia
PCM (1) Talapus
Kwanton (1) Freezie
Gimpythewonder (1) AnarkistsDream
Koesen (2) LSU Tiger Josh, ga7
Not Voting (2) Koesen, GimpytheWonder

with 16 alive it takes 9 to lynch!

(I have come to the decision that days from now on will permanantly be 96 hours with nights being 48 hours as this seems preferable for players in the game. I will subsequently change the game rules. I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused)

This means that Day will end 29/07/07 at 23:00 hours (GMT + 1) thats 47 and a half hours from now.

Or rather, the two players who were posting at the time, without taking into consideration, other opinions. Like mine, which is to stick with the current deadlines, otherwise, days last way too long. A side-effect is that less players post, and gradually the game gets forgotten about.
This happened with LOTR Mafia.

Whatever, 96 hours are more common than 72 hour days in games and thats why I introduced a deadline in the first place to prevent the game becoming forgotten and stagnant like many others in the past. Anyway, a decision has been made, end of discussion and back to the game :P.
