I don't like it, but we can't have a lynchless Day 1. Sorry ga7.

Btw Koesen, while I understand your reasons, your post was far from clear on that to me. You can't say it's a scummy distortion when you wouldn't even have been here to clarify if the deadline hadn't been moved to today.
Final FOS Exile, MM. :P (hunches because of their submarining and absence of contribution, not wanting to confuse town either )

Submarining?

I think you're town, I put a vote on those I think are scum already. With no reason to think otherwise, and no-one challenging my vote, I have nothing to say.

To be sure, I understand that on Day One you jump on every little thing, since there usually are no big things. I do the same. Was I mistaken in thinking that the deadline was today in the first place? Maybe I go confused with another game. If so, I understand your interpretation better.

On the other hand, I have to consider the possibility that you are scum and that you were seizing an opportunity to attack someone you must know to be town.

I'm not completely sure about you, having read your reply, but since I have no better leads than what as far as I know *may* be a deliberate distortion, and since the deadline is near, I'm keeping my vote on you.

If you are innocent... well, that sucks for both of us.

By the way, if people are worried about being manipulated into ending the day without a lynch, I suggest looking at the spammers. My posts are virtually always on topic and virtually always aim at advancing the discussion.

I kinda wish the deadline wasn't so soon, I don't wanna have a hand in this. I really think he's town. But we can't have a day 1 with no lynch...

The reason I was absent for two days, if you have to know, has to do with the recent death of my father in law.

Usually I'm town, sometimes I'm scum, but whatever I am, I never deliberately submarine for days.

Your choice although I'm town. Sorry about your father in law, but the "submarine" wasn't why I was voting for you. The statement you made while leaving was very scummy innature as any townie would rather get an extension for a lynch rather then enforce a deadline and not get one. Whether GA is scum or not I do not know. I just know that someone that would rather not extend the deadline is most likely not pro town.

Vote against extensions

If people can't get their act together, they should accept the consequences. I don't like games that drag on forever. A deadline is a deadline.

This is the statement that I call scummy by the fact that it implies he would rather end a day with no lynch rather then extending it to have a chance to lynch scum. With that said since the deadline is coming up Unvote Koeson Vote GA to get a lynch even though I don't think ga is scummy at this point in the game.

I see your logic, and I guess I won't be able to convince you, but I assure you that messing with deadlines bugs me in every game I play, regardless of what my role is.

Seriously, if a mod sets a deadline, the players just have to see that they get get their stuff done in that time.

The hole in your logic is that this applies to nights too. If the mafia can't figure out who to kill in the time they've been given, too bad. If nagerous suggests an extension of the night phase in this game, I'll vote against that too.

In my admittedly limited experience, if people start mucking around with deadlines, the game is on its way out. See Chad's LOTR for a recent example.

If the mod thinks deadlines aren't necessary, that's his decision. But if he sets one, he should stick to it, barring extreme circumstances that don't apply here. Rules are rules. If you think they don't matter, discard them alltogether. You might as well say: "quoting PMs is illegal. But if you do it, I'll just make an exception." What's the point, then? Changing deadlines is altering the rules in mid play. I am very much against that.

Vote me if you believe I'm scum, but I will stand by this position in this game and in every other game I will ever play. If I ever get to modding a game myself, you can be sure that an X hour deadline will be an X hour deadline. If, as a mod, I want a lynch every day, I will state clearly in the rules that the day lasts until there is a lynch. X hours go by and there's no lynch/night kill? Town/mafia screwed up. Their problem.

Anyway, I think that's enough on this subject.

Baby Mario, a hider? Hmm... maybe. Baby Mario's premiere game, Super Mario World 2, mostly involved Baby Mario's dependence on Yoshi. I think it's too late now, we'll just have to wait and see.
