dont play yourself down - if you want to stall go ahead but take the feedback that comes with it.cleveridea wrote:Here are my concluding thoughts:
* I still don't know why I flipped out so quickly, although I do stand by my extreme disdain for whiners.
* As fun as it was for a few days, it quickly became apparent that the joke was on me. It became very tedious and very much un-fun to be an ass on purpose.
* My victim didn't really participate in the endeavor. I don't even think he noticed, which really took the wind from my sails as it were.
* It was interesting to examine my thought process, and I appreciate those that chimed in on this thread's general concept. It seemed most agreed with the concept but disagreed with my particular case. In the end that is where I arrived too.
* It was also interesting to laugh at illiterates of the site continue their tradition of upholding small minded pointless blather.
* And lastly, I don't know if it was because my opponent got bored or just isn't very good - but his play did in fact degrade during the whole experience and he went from a commanding position that was probably 90% winnable to a position where he's about 98% going to lose. So - maybe just maybe - a stalling tactic (against freemies) is a legitimate tactic to make an attempt to turn around an otherwise dismal game.
