<Subject>: Go to page when looking at threads in forum.

* Suggestion Idea: There would be an option to go to page, say, 27 of a 56 page thread without having to click through all of the pages.

* Specifics: There could be a little box at the top and bottom near where it says "Goto page 1,2,3,4 ... 54,55,56,57" where you would type in the page # that you wanted to go to.

* Why it is needed: It's a pain if you are reading a long thread, make it to page 20 something, have to get off you browser, then click through all of the pages to get back where you started.

If you can do math, then this is already possible.

The first page of a thread doesn't include numbers at the end of the link, but all the following threads are labeled with a number at the end for the post count.
Example:

Longest thread, thread - page 1 wrote:http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=914&start=0

Longest thread, thread - page 157 wrote:http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=914&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=2340

Pay attention to the bold parts. The formula for finding the page you want is simple, once you know it.

Say you want to go to Page 157, so you would do 157x15, because there are 15 posts per page. The answer is 2355. However, if you used that number in the link it would take you to page 158 because page 1 starts at 0 and not 15. So you just subtract 15 from the total, and voila! You imput the number at the end of the link, and you appear right at the page you wanted.

P.S. Who's the mod that deleted the picture from Page 157? That's just wrong...

There are some mods Lack can look into for the Forum Software, as I do recall there is a 'Go-To Page' one, but I think we'll wait until the next version of phpBB comes out. I'm not sure if they have it intergraded or not, but it makes less work to upgrade if we don't have to upgrade a bunch of mods also.
