Nope not that either.Strider24 wrote:Front Mission 1st

Is it a real strategy, or more like a Mech RPG whe you can rebuild and equip your Mechs between combats and you only have a few, each piloted by a distinct character? If it's the later, I remeber a SNES game that could be the original (I'll have to look up the name in my old, broken laptop.)High Guard wrote:Ok, here is the story. I remember back in the day I played this Mech video game where you play your mechs like chess, the storyline is something about Japanese developing a super bomb. It only came out on Ps1 and possibly only in Europe. It's bugging the hell out of me not being able to remember it's name, please help. Any ideas whats the game?
P.S: I did my research, couldn't find anything on the net.

You can equip your mech between missions , but any of your characters (people who join you over the course of the war) can pilot any mech you have. You can also pilot helicopters, tanks and other military hardware, but you can't keep any of it for missions. For example, the only way to drive a tank is if enemy pilot gets ejected or killed inside, or if you find one empty in some garage.mandalorian2298 wrote:Is it a real strategy, or more like a Mech RPG whe you can rebuild and equip your Mechs between combats and you only have a few, each piloted by a distinct character? It's likely that the game I'm trying to find is the original of the game you described. In my game, you control up to 8 mechs (maybe more, but I only remember controlling 8 at most). Your weapons choices include, rifles, laser canons, hand shields, swords, missiles, but you can only equip your mech with certain amount of weight (different for different mechs). There is also a market where you can sell and buy mechs and weapons.Strider24 wrote:It's a PS2 mech strategy game set in the very near future. As the game's story has it, splinter factions in Japan's military have begun to lay waste to Tokyo by means of giant robotic war machines called "bullets." As a member of an elite government strike force, you will take command of a bullet and confront the rebels.
Robot Warlords is a strategy game at its core, and it will include two play modes: story mode and life mode. In the story mode, you're made to play through a linear series of missions, through which the game's narrative unfolds. Life mode is much more fluid--in it, you'll be presented with missions, and you can choose whether or not you want to participate in them. Regardless of the play mode you go through, you'll be able to customize your bullet's arsenal. You can choose to equip it with long range, short range, or hand-to-hand weapons, all of which affect your bullet's movement, speed, and power ratings. The mission maps will be grid-based, and they'll be replete with buildings, vehicles, and other such obstacles.

Yes, yes !!! Thats exactly it, thank you. What was the game called?Strider24 wrote:Yh that is it because i had that game you can have up to 8 mechs at your control and every turn (game is played in turns) you pick a mech, move it, select a weapon e.g. turret, laser guns, close combat, etc, and pick an enemy target to attck. Then the enemy does the same and it repeats. After a turn it shows it in a cinematic piont of view before the next turn is taken. You are a part of a team and after every mission you get to choose different mechs to upgrade. Weapons, armour, etc, It is a very long game with well over 80 missions. You get to pick which misiions to do or you can do a story line with slected missions.
