There is a group of players doing that in one of my smaller tournaments and it's really starting to piss me off. They've been playing for a month and only made it to round 11.

introduce a round cap if necessary, like 15 rounds and the game is declared a draw in regards to the tournumant

(unless its direct elimination).

I would introduce a round cap, except it is a game where the top three move on to the final game of the tournament. So I feel a little awkward making up a guideline to decide who is the top three and who aren't.

Right now my plan is to let them play to the 5 week mark, and if nobody has been eliminated then tell them they have a certain amount of time, if they haven't eliminated three by that time, I will take the top 3 by strength according to the greasemonkey script or something.

Guess we'll see what happens.

I'm with Optimus Prime. If a game isn't over by Round 18 I will rank according to BoB the instant that round begins.

Hopefully there are no complaints.

I wasn't referring to this tournament, I think that with this tournament ending the game in round 18 would be not too cool. I don't think you'll have the same problems I have with that game in my tournament. All of use are regular take multiple turns a day type folks.

yeah, thats the only problem with flat rate, people might build and games could take forever. but i think u should let the games take there course, since we are all all stars, lol

Im in a game right now where I own three territorys in Australia and the guys has 100 some armies on Indonisia and refuses to knock me out. Seems to think that he can set some sort of record for the most armies on one territory.

I don't like the round cap idea either. I don't see why the 2nd round can't start while other games are still going on, unless I glanced over something important?

I think the only thing that would matter is the non-premium players is all.
