NFL First Impressions

Seeing as the first Sunday in the NFL season is over, just seeing what surprises and dissapointments people have seen out of their teams.

Me in particular, was pleasantly surprised by the Pckers' defense, which was awesome againsgt Philly today, but wish the offense couldve got in rhythm...

I was happy to see the Lions win on the road, and win coming back after letting Oakland take a 21-20 lead in the 4th, after blowing a 17-0 lead.

really its good for them to be able to pull back ahead and win games like those...they have been losing them for 5 years now....

they still need a better redzone offense though.

The Lions have Calvin johnson, of course they win, lol. Falcons were bloody awful, but its no worse than usual, there was a little promise at points

He handles the offense better than vick did, but no matter who the qb is we've got to have recievers that can catch. good to see Schaub doing well in Houston

First impressions:

Pats are good but still way overrated
Saints defense is terrible
Donkeys and Redskins and Packers are so lucky
Houston looks good
Oakland still sucks
Detroit is a little better
Atlanta is in for a long year
and VINCE YOUNG IS SO OVERRATED

my first impressions of my team are.....romo was not a fluke, the cowboys defense is pathetic without newman, wade phillips isnt a conservative pussy like parcells

I was pleasantly suprised by the Bucs Defense and am quite excited for the season. We lost, but from what I saw they looked quite impressive.

I left right before the field goal.

thats right oakies can never win in the AFC West as long as the chargers are around (and the broncos just jut lucky)

but i think the chargers did great. they had a solid defense that only allowed 1 score of a FG, had an int, 3 sacks and allowed only 202 yds. the offense was a little sloppy and had a rough start but in the last half they came back to win it with 2 TDs. norv turner (the new head coach) and phillip rivers both made some good smart play calls but the bears def was doing better than the offence most of the time. i am happy though because it was against the bears and we cant expect too much from a season opener against a super bowl team.

I almost agree with that, except for the fact that the Colts had the BEST defense in the playoffs last year. It doesnt dissapear when they enter the next season, and the only reason they had trouble for a while was Bob Sander's injury. He is a highly underrated player who is the anchor of that defense.

...And the 49ers are gonna suck tonight
