What the subject says really. Just thinking of starting a new clan, usergroup, whatever you want to call it.

I'm a HUGE fan of Floyd. Roger Waters is a true artist.

Here's a trivia question: Where did Pink Floyd get their name?

Pink Anderson, Floyd Council. Syd was fans of them, as far as I can remember...

Syd, Waters, Mason, Wright definately... and Gilmour? wasn't technically original, so I'm guessing it's someone else.

Bob Klose, not Dave... Bob left just after they renamed themselves as 'The Pink Floyd Sound' or whatever it was... Then after he left they stayed as a four for a few years, then Gilmour was brought in to cover for Barrett, who was deteriorating mentally... then Syd left later that year, and it stayed as Rick, Nick, Dave n' Rog until 1979(?), when Rick was fired by Rog.

I went to see them in Earl's Court, 1994. Great concert. They did the whole of DSOTM, the plane flying across, that inflatable teacher for Another Brick... PtII, that monster thing in One of These Days...
The only downers were Gilmour's songs, the ones he wrote after Waters left haha

Haha the only of PF's post-Waters songs I've heard is Learning To Fly, which I actually think's quite good. Is it just giving me false impressions?

Well, Learning To Fly is one of the better ones. The thing to remember though, is even if the songs after Waters left are not ABYSMAL, the point is, it isn't Floyd quality, whether Barrett era or Waters era.

They kinda suck seperately. Together they're much better.

Yeah, it's easily forgotten, but unless I'm mistaken, I think every one of them (except maybe that Bob Klose) has had at least one solo album, haven't they?

Yep.
I like the post waters stuff, there are some moments that live up to the Waters/Barret eras, although there is also some dross.
EDIT: Is "On an Island" any good?

The only solo I've got is Waters' the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking. It isn't TOO bad, it certainly has its moments, but let's be honest, once you have Waters' pre-Final Cut stuff you probably don't need anything else.
COme to think of it, he was supposed to have done an opera on the French Revolution or something - and I'm pretty sure it premiered this year or last. Wonder how it went.
