BEST WORLD WAR I or II FILM.

Post by taranwandrer »

OBVIOUSLY THERE ARE SOME IM GOING TO LEAVE OFF....BUT HERE IS A LIST OF SOME GREAT ONES....WHICH ONE IS THE BEST.

I consider Lawrence of Arabia the best film, but it might be unfair to put it on here , it is more of an historical epic than a war movie...but...oh well.

my vote for WAR film goes to Patton.

And i consider Pearl Harbor one of the worst films of all time, save alec baldwins part.

And Schindler's list is more a war drama than a WAR film.

Patton is a great film!

I would recommend to you one of the best ex-Yugoslavian films "Neretva" (made in 1969, about the famous battle). Yul Brynner, Orson Welles and Franco Nero played exceptional roles there. If you can get your hands on it grab it! 8)

of the ones on the list i voted for gallipoli. my favorite war film of all time is a bridge too far, but for comedy value kellys heroes is great.

pearl harbour is an embarrasment and the second half of ryan was disapointing.

Yes, great show. I think Tom Hanks was the narrator on that, and Spielberg producer or something... :o

nobody likes world war one

Post by taranwandrer »

Just from the beginnings of this poll...the only vote was for gallipoli and i bet it was an aussie....world war one if the forgotten war....maybe even more than the korean war...i think there are only like a dozen ww one veterans alive...if not a half a dozen or so now.
