Goodbye from gibbom

Post by gibbom »

I'm taking an indefinite break from conquer club, not sure if I'll be back. Just wanted to thank all my opponents and teammates for a fun time at the site.

Special thanks to:

* lack and the site volunteers for putting together such a great site at such a low cost
* demigod, for introducing me to the site
* Genghis Khan CA, the other half of my favourite doubles team
* blitzaholic, super player and a great supporter of mine
* all the other Horsemen (David Wain, khazalid, AndrewB, RiskTycoon, osujacket, comic boy, AAFitz, Nick Foxx, casper, maniacmath17, RL Orange and Big Yuma Ripper) - IMHO the best bunch of players and guys on CC

There are many others I enjoyed good battles against, Nephilim and Kid_A come to mind immediately but I hope the rest of you know who you are!

I had a lot of fun here, winning the battle royale and playing with the Horsemen in our battle against the bushwackers two of the highlights. But it's time to move on - once i've finished my active games I'm outta here. See ya 'round! 8)

Good luck whatever the future holds for you and congrats on your achievements on here.

ps whats going on it the THOTA stable thats making them all want to quit :-k
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Genghis Gibbon and myself all pretty much got to the point where we had little to prove and the games started to get boring, just not the same level of fun and excitement as when you are working your way up to the top.

Gibbon it was a pleasure to play with you mate, enjoy the break and maybe we will do battle again in the future.

At the start, after the Royale, everyone was all saying (or at least thinking, come on, admit it) "that gibbom is a cheap plastic champ. I can go down to the carnival and win gibbom at a can toss for my sweetheart, and we'll have a fight over how ugly it is and how I should've gotten her the Blitzaholic instead." And then it was only a few weeks before everyone was mumbling into their sake bombs, "that gibbom I guess he's already yeah well I almost had him it was the dice mumble mumble softly weeping."

Good luck proving some other people wrong, Gibbom!

firth4eva, you know not of whom you speak. That paticular game has been going about 100 turns with great and honorable players every one, and he has the most men with over 300. To have nuetral armies in that quantity would be, ummm interesting to say the least.

And I must admit I can not ever recall being called a multi since I joined in January of 2006.

I am sure you jest but non redman humor escapes me.
