If people keep killing the Earth, where are the animal and plants going to live on? Humans are earthlings, too.

Yeah, we're REALLY capable of killing the earth by driving large SUV's and spraying aerosol cans....

Since the industrial revolution, the earths temperature has only warmed one degree, this dispels the myth that human emissions of greenhouse gasses are altering the earths temperature in a dangerous way.

Endangering animals and destroying the environment is probably bad, but at the rate most industrialised nations do it, it won't amount to much and whatever it does amount to, we'd be able to shrug off. One thing about all the CO2 we're producing though, is that it could be causing things like AIDs and cancer, before the Ind. Rev. we didn't have any weird diseases like those its only recently that all that stuffs been happening. Its still a pretty minor problem.

Overpopulation won't become a problem, because once we do exceed what the planet can support, a proportion of us will die off until the planet can support us, so there's no way we'd die off. Who knows what the cap is though, I heard that we're already using resources faster then they can replenish, so 6 billion is probably the cap, we just won't know until we reach 12 billion.

What is a threat to us though, is nuclear war. Therefore Bush has to stop fucking around. Also, if the US, India and China did actually set goals in terms of reducing how much they pollute, overpopulate and how much resources they take in, then the living conditions for the rest of the world would increase. Cutting down pollution and being more responsible in terms of growth will increase living standards, but pollution overall isn't going to kill the earth. If mind worms start attacking you can get scared, though.

many emissions from vehicles are causing black particles [or at least dark] to collect on the polar ice caps. this is causing them to absorb MORE heat than they did before. This is causing them to melt.

THAT IS BAD

Give me a few minutes to double-check my reasoning and to get sources that I can show to the nonbelievers

as the ice caps melt, freshwater is introduced into the oceans, this is slowly disrupting the ocean currents that convey heat around the globe. If this continues, it will eventually lead to a total shutdown of these currents. this will cause things to get much colder.

Is that a good enough argument for you, or do I need to go into more detail???

Just curious, since water expands when it freezes, wouldn't it take up less space if it were to melt?

not that this has any real backing but in The Day After Tomorrow they explain the whole storm thing by humans dumping too much freshwater into the oceans...
