I'm still partly believing kwan's story, but unfortunately it's the only lead we've got. Vote kwanton.

I am set in my ways.
The lynch of Kwanton will probably tell us the true identity of AD seeing how he would rather a no lynch when Kwanton has only claimed plain town.

No. Vote: Kwanton

He seems like the better choice.

--
After much back and forth discussion about whether kwanton had converted to one of the warring cults, the town decided oln a lynch, almost regretfully. As they lead him to the gallows, he gave up all pretence and began crying to his god to save him - but to no avail.

kwanton the barbarian (talassian cultist) has been lynched!

It is now Night 4. Send in your night actions. Deadline is 16:10 GMT on the 4th.

Day 5

The morning opens on the city once again and anarchy breaks out as 2 corpses are found in the docks district.

0ojakeo0 (Shadow Thief, Thief) and jnd94 (Guard, Talassian Cultist) have been killed!

It is now day 5. You have 96 hours to lynch someone.

 That is just plain awesome, because Jnd was the one I investigated and Exile gave me a guard (townie) result... That must mean he was recruited this night and Exile is a nasty nasty mod
It sucks that Jake died as thief can be pretty useful, but since his submarining was suspicious that makes one less suspect.
Anyway I'm starting to think that the recruitment works only on townies, and that each cult might have a recruitable "believer" power role like Nes had... Which means we need to lynch AD eventually. However at this point I think it'd be more useful to find the talos cult leader (as I fail miserably to do so with the investigations :P). I have some suspicions, but will wait to see if someone has something to propose.

I'm of the opinion that it would be better to lynch AD now, instead of hoping that the recruiter will make some stupid mistake.

AD probably belongs to the Lathander cult, judging by his behaviour when nag (who was Lathander cult leader) was under pressure:

On the other hand,

Vote: GA7 for pushing so hard
I fully agree with ga7 that we need to lynch a potential Talos cult leader, before they manage to outnumber the town.

I think people who voted for kwanton are less likely to be Talos than the others, so that narrows down the suspects to:

kalishnikov (who claimed to believe kwanton)
kalishnikov wrote:
kwanton wrote:Have you ever had it happen that two different cults try to recruit you?

Me neither. In an odd situation like this who knows what choices the mod would give? I was given three choices, join one or the other or neither. In that situation, my reasoning was neither side had any advantage over each other or the town. That early in the game, the town still had a large numbers advantage. Also, the chances one of the two would try to recruit me again were high since the two were told the choice I chose. If I wanted to join at a later time then the option would probably be available to me.

I'm still a barbarian. I'm still a townie. Any questions?
No I haven't, and I believe that you stayed town for exactly the reason you pointed out, neither cult has any real advantage over the town's numbers.
PCM (who only posted once, early in the day)

Unvote...
XGS (but we know he's a helmite)

and AD.

So FOS kalishnikov & PCM.

Let's do a little scum recap....

Helm masons: XG recruited night 1, Cena (recruiter) lynched day 2 - over

Lathander cult: tried to recruit Kwanton night 1, could have recruited night 2, Nag (leader) lynched day 3 - over with 1 possible member remaining

Talos cult: recruited Kwanton night 1 (lynched day 4), could have recruited night 2 & 3, recruited jnd night 4 (killed) - 1 leader with 2 possible members remaining

1 Night killer (possibly Talos)

That leaves us in a tough spot. About AD I thought he had claimed townie on day 3, which would make him a good recruitment target for night 3. But he only did it the last day, so not sure... Since we obviously have a vig, it'd be nice if they can just off him tonight so that we don't waste a lynch on just a potential recruit.

I do agree with your suspicions SL anyway, I had a look at the voting record and people still alive that haven't voted are :
kalish (replaced Skittles!), pcm, xg, nark.
Although the early voters on that Kwan wagon aren't really cleared for me, I'm between Kalish and PCM. Their voting records are pretty similar, though Skittles wasn't around much and didn't vote when Nag was lynched; one thing that speaks for PCM is that he got off the Cena wagon when it was still uncertain he'd get lynched, I don't think he'd have done that just to confuse us if he was the cult leader as no one would have particularly suspected him after Mandy's offer.
Besides, skimming through the thread, I get that lingering sense of scumminess out of most of Skittles' posts. (as always )
All in all I think he's the most likely candidate. Sorry Kalish, you just replaced the wrong role.

Thanks for the analysis. I'm still having a bit of trouble figuring out what this game is about and who is scum and who isn't, which is why I'm not as active as usual.

One remark that comes to mind is that the above assumes that on Day One, the cults only consisted of the recruiters. The number might be off if they already had a member or two. This was one of the mistakes made in the Re Inquisition mafia.

For now, I'm willing to hop on the bandwagon and

You're right, I'm assuming that because since there's several cults town would have no chance pretty quickly else... Just to make sure, as it'd make sense that the 3 gods started with equal chances, can you confirm that there isn't another mason XG?

I honestly think Pancake has the most guilty posts and seems to be the most scummy to me.

I would rather vote him, but if it must be done, I'll vote Kalish before the deadline.

And, as I have told many of you, I am the bar wench. I have not been recruited by anyone.

I agree that your assumption makes sense, number wise, but I thought I'd just bring up the one sensible thought I had :)

yes. vote kalishnikov but also fos AD

kalish tried shifting everyone off kwn when he was scum and AD has declared himself townie and has not been recruited. we either have a dumb recruiter or AD is lying. i think the latter is more likely.

QFT. Remember NES was a Lathander paladin. I seriously doubt Nag's night one choice would be to recruit NES..

The way I understood Nes' role, he was town when he died... Since we already know that Nag tried to recruit Kwan on night 1, I might be wrong and Nes was already part of it, but I find it more likely that Nag decided against recruiting him since it'd be a waste of time
I vaguely recall Cena telling us that he received instructions on who to recruit directly from GT, and XG said he was already helmite before recruitment... Maybe they are just special roles that win if town or their god wins, but don't count as cult if not recruited. If that theory is correct, I bet the Talos special role is the SK :P
