Sounds good. Give it a go and see if it works.TroyMcClure wrote:oops, will fix. What do you think about more transparent with a white outline.... I'll play around with it and put up some samples.unriggable wrote:LESS TRANSPARENT ARMY CIRCLES

Ouch! OK, I got the Foundry Foreman saying I should dump this map. I don't have the backing of the old guard here, so go ahead and retire it. It's a waste of time without support from a few of the higher ups.AndyDufresne wrote:I see myself agreeing with Dim's good points here. Some times, as unfortunate as it may be, maps fall to the wayside of the Foundry Furnace. But perhaps you can revamp the idea a little, and make it all the more appealing. I wish you luck!

abandoning is not the solution. as i previously said, the map has a good idea behind it.TroyMcClure wrote:Ouch! OK, I got the Foundry Foreman saying I should dump this map. I'll talk with Cairnwk. maybe we can put up some options to vote on (including a "don't want it" vote).Elijah S wrote:Troy... being a native San Diegan, I really liked the map and thought it was a great idea.
I think you should perhaps not completely abandon this project.
Cairnwk has been a great help to me with ideas and tremendous insight into graphics.
I'm sure, since the offer was made, that he'll be of great value in reviving this idea.
One map did not load for me, I reloaded the page and it came up. So try reloading. My picture hosting website may be slow.Tisha wrote:map c isn't showing up for me..
I'll change the blue to try something else.Elijah S wrote:Troy-
I like this map and would definitely play it...
My suggestions right now are:
The east county areas be changed to something other than blue... The blue seems to give it an ocean look.
The areas you have labelled as North County aren't really what native San Diegans consider North County... that's further north and includes Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, etc...
Just food for thought there...
Glad to see you're proceeding with this!
Te freeways are the barriers in this virtual map. So think of the places where it's impossible to get across (infamous California freeways) and the places where there is no freeway is an underpass or a way across for your real estate project to expand.oaktown wrote:it's odd that the freeways end and then pick up again... are you ultimately planning to shoot the freeways all the way through but create some kind of overpass or other crossing?
