yes it is, the best catch I've seen in my time, I remember Al saying his line, "HE DID WHAT?" I will always remember that momentIncandenza wrote:Is that that daft MNF catch from a couple years ago in your avvy, cheese? I thought al michaels was going to have a bloody heart attack

This forum just seems like it dies everytime a soccer question comes up, and I don't like soccer, I admit it, but I'd like a few questions I can have a chance at, the last like 10 haven't been a Major US sport (There is one English Sport I like though, Rugby, that's a fun game, but also painful)misterman10 wrote:why? Just because you don't like the current question...live with it. And wait for a new questionCheesemore wrote:How about a new question anyways? not too many people know soccer here

I believe the correct term for this is "overrated." He's 35, thats all I have to say. He can't run, he can't pass, all he can do is score once in a while with a free kick. For a actually decent imported player, see Cuhatemoc Blanco.Incandenza wrote:As far as the existing question, I know basically nothing about MLS, save for the unrelenting Beckham love-fest that I and my fellow Angelenos have been subjected to over the last 6 months or so.

Hey, don't look at me. I'm no great fan of the guy. But Blanco isn't exactly in his prime, either. Which is a distillation of why MLS is crap.GreecePwns wrote:I believe the correct term for this is "overrated." He's 35, thats all I have to say. 29?
Lassiter scored 29 in season 1 with the Tampa Bay Mutiny (non-existant, just assumed no one would guess it).

Derrick Thomas of the Chiefs sacked Dave Kreig of the Seahawks those seven times... and he almost had an eighth, but couldn't quite get to Kreig before the QB threw the game-winning TD pass.
At least, I think that's the answer.

and RIP derrick thomas! roll tide....
it sounds like you mean "active" most-tenured players in your question, incan, but not explicit. i'll guess craig biggio and trevor hoffman (kills me to not guess smoltz)

I hope you're being sarcastic. If not, I would remind you that not everyone on this site is 14. Some of us are old enough to have actually watched that game and stood in awe of this human force of nature that kept just breezing through the seattle o-line, only for him to come up juuuuust short at the very end. Derrick Thomas was the man.misterman10 wrote:You obviously looked up the last answer incandenza![]()

And neph, you've got three names there. Two of them are correct, and I'd be obliged if you didn't kill yourself.

hmmm, i showing both biggio and smoltz as having 19 years in the bigs, not 20, that's odd.....
okay so, in honor of derrick thomas: he is the all-time sack leader at alabama. in fact, he has more than twice as many as number 2. he has the numbers 1 and 2 single season sack records! he had 18 in 1987 and 27 in 1988.
okay so name the number 2 all time sack guy at bama. you'll need a hint, he is currently a second-string DT for the Carolina Panthers and is actually the all time bama leader in TFLs......

Maybe it doesn't include this season... moot point.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess kemoeatu... I'm not even 100% he's on the panthers, but I seem to recall a couple weeks ago playing madden with my roommate and ole' kemoeatu showing up as a backup DT for carolina. And, of course, he does have one of the all-time great names... every time I see him I have to say, in as frighteningly flat a tone as I can manage, "Kemo eat you."

nice try but i believe he's a starter for the panthers and i'm positive he didn't play for bama.....i don't think we've ever had a hawaiian player (or samoan or whatever)
